Oh boy, are you guys ready for another Spider-Man movie? So, here comes Spider-Man: Brand New Day, because who needs a break from Spider-Man, right? 😴
I mean, seriously, how many Spider-Man movies do we need? Eight stand-alone live-action films, three Spiderverse animated movies, and a modern Disney cartoon series? It’s like the world is just begging for more Spider-Man 🤣. But, I guess if you’re into that sort of thing, you’ll be excited to know that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who apparently meets the expectations of making an entertaining movie that balances the sombre and fun parts of Spider-Man’s story 🎬. Wow, what a unique concept 🙄.
So, Brand New Day is not a short movie, because it has to move along the next phase of the MCU, which is just a fancy way of saying it’s going to set up a bunch of other movies 🎥. But hey, at least Spider-Man is no longer alone, right? He’s got his friends, his enemies, and his trusty Spidey sense to keep him company 🤝. And, of course, Tom Holland is back as Peter Parker, but this time with a heavier, athletic body and a stronger New Yorker accent, because that’s exactly what the world was missing 🗽️.
The movie has to ensure that all the time and energy spent on a masked kid from Queens wasn’t for nothing, so it’s got a new approach to Spider-Man’s story 📚. It’s like they’re trying to make Spider-Man cool again, or something 🤣. But, hey, at least Zendaya’s MJ is getting some love, right? She’s nerdy and assured, and uninterested in the trappings of a young woman’s life, because that’s exactly what the world needs more of 🙅♀️.
The visual effects in Brand New Day are apparently stunning, reminiscent of the fantastic Spider-Man video games and comic strips 🎮. The choreography of the fight scenes is clever and cool, and no battle ever outstays its welcome, because who doesn’t love a good fight scene? 🤺. But, of course, the movie isn’t perfect, because what movie is? 🤷♀️. It’s got its flaws, like the fact that the female characters rarely talk to each other, and the film makes a late story swerve that’s only designed to link this film to the next MCU outing 🚨.
So, Brand New Day is what the MCU needs, apparently – a focus on the “small potatoes” stories, giving plenty of heart 🥔. Because, you know, the world was just missing a Spider-Man movie that’s all about heart and not just about explosions and action 🤣. And, of course, Spider-Man is here to stay, because who needs a break from the same old Spider-Man nonsense? 🙄. Amidst all the chaos, there comes a costume – Spidey is here to stay, because the world just can’t get enough of him 🕸️.
