OMG! 😱 ARTE Concert, bless their cotton socks, has dropped the entire JUDAS PRIEST performance from Hellfest 2025. So, if you missed seeing Rob Halford prancing around in his leather gear, here’s your chance to relive it. Or, you know, fast forward to the guitar solos. 🎸😂

Apparently, this “Shield Of Pain” tour is all about milking “Painkiller” for all it’s worth because it’s been, like, 35 years since that album dropped. SEVEN tracks from one album? Groundbreaking. 🙄

So, besides the earth-shattering title track, they also played deep cuts like “All Guns Blazing”, “Hell Patrol”, and… wait for it… “A Touch Of Evil”. You know, the ones only true fans pretend to know. 🤷‍♀️ Oh, and let’s not forget the totally underrated gems “Night Crawler”, “One Shot At Glory”, and “Between The Hammer And The Anvil”. Bet you were all dying to hear those! 😴

Remember when PRIEST promised a “rare” and “unique set” for the “Shield Of Pain” tour? Yeah, about that… I’m pretty sure every metal band promises that before trotting out the same old setlist. “Beloved classics”? Aka, the songs that keep them from having to get real jobs. 🤣

Here’s the earth-shattering setlist, courtesy of Setlist.fm, because who needs spontaneity? 🤖

01. All Guns Blazing
02. Hell Patrol
03. You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’
04. Breaking The Law
05. A Touch Of Evil
06. Night Crawler
07. One Shot At Glory
08. Gates Of Hell
09. Between The Hammer And The Anvil
10. The Serpent And The King
11. Giants In The Sky
12. Painkiller

Encore:

13. Hell Bent For Leather
14. Living After Midnight

And if you’re lucky enough to be in London on July 25th, you can catch the final show of this snooze-fest tour at the O2. Tickets probably still available. 😂

Oh, and in case you were wondering about the thought process behind this “unique” setlist, Rob Halford told Heavy Consequence that they might play a bunch of “Painkiller” songs in a row. Groundbreaking. Or maybe sprinkle them throughout the set. Decisions, decisions! 🤯 He also mentioned it’s a “once-in-a-lifetime thing.” Yeah, because who wants to see this more than once? 💀

Rob also went on about how they wanted to make the “hardest, heaviest, strongest” album ever with “Painkiller”. Clearly, they succeeded in… something. 🤔 And it was all thanks to being isolated in the south of France, away from the temptation of Ibiza nightclubs. Priorities! 🙄

He also claimed that other bands tell him to listen to “Painkiller” if you want to know what a metal album is all about. Sure, Rob. Sure. 🙄 But hey, at least the fans still “recognize” that “Painkiller” is under the spotlight. Probably because they keep re-releasing it every five years. 💿

Fun fact: “Painkiller” was recorded in France and mixed in the Netherlands. Because, you know, metal is all about international cooperation. 🤝 And it was the first album with Scott Travis, who apparently saved metal with his double bass drumming. 🥁

Speaking of Scott Travis, K.K. Downing said that Scott‘s double kicks “opened doors” for him and Glenn to write “rhythmically and musically.” I guess they were stuck in a rhythmic rut before that. 🤷‍♂️

And let’s not forget the iconic “Painkiller” drum intro. Scott always wanted to come up with a “signature drum intro,” and now he’s only second to Alex Van Halen in some random “Top 15 drum intros” list. Achievement unlocked! 🏆

Apparently, Scott came up with the intro while the sound guys were testing mics. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. 🍀 He was just “messing around” and accidentally created metal history. 🤣 So, next time you’re bored, just start flailing around on your drum kit. You might just write the next “Painkiller”! 🤘
