Okay, folks, buckle up because Netflix, in its infinite wisdom, has decided to grace us with a full-length trailer for Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. Prepare yourselves for what can only be described as a complete and utter desecration of everything you once held dear about Sam Fisher. 🍿
Netflix, not content with merely adapting video games, but instead on butchering them beyond recognition, 🔪 proudly presents Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. Because, you know, Devil May Cry, Castlevania, and the upcoming Assassin’s Creed weren’t enough to prove they have no clue what they’re doing. 🤡 Why not add another beloved franchise to the pyre? 🔥 Here’s the trailer, if you dare:
Did you notice that this Splinter Cell trailer looks NOTHING like Splinter Cell? 🤣 Sam Fisher, the master of stealth, is now apparently a close-quarters combat expert who prefers punching dudes in the face rather than, you know, being sneaky. Because who needs shadows when you can just John Wick your way through every mission? 💥 Netflix decided that Derek Kolstad, the guy behind John Wick, was the perfect choice to adapt a stealth-based game. Genius! 🧠
But wait, there’s more! 🎉 Michael Ironside, the voice of Sam Fisher for seven games, has been replaced by Liev Schreiber. Because why stick with what works when you can completely alienate the fanbase? 🤷♂️ The story is supposed to pick up after Chaos Theory, but honestly, who cares at this point? 😭
The trailer shows Douglas Shetland’s funeral, because drama! 🎭 It’s unclear if this Sam is still the one who offed Shetland, but rest assured, this time it’s “personal.” 🙄 Because every action hero needs a dead friend to brood over. 💔
The rest of the cast includes Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Janet Varney, and Joel Oulette. ✨ Names that are so amazing it still won’t save this trainwreck. 🚂💥
Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is brought to you by Ubisoft, Sun Creature, and Fost, airing exclusively on Netflix on October 14. So mark your calendars, folks, for the day Splinter Cell dies a little more inside. 💀 If you want more fluff pieces from Netflix, check out their Tudum site. 🤡👍
