The Anthony Bourdain biopic, because you didn’t get enough of him when he was alive and cooking up a storm 🍴🔥. I mean, who needs new content when you can just rehash the same old stories about a guy who loved food and was kinda grumpy? 😒

So, the new biopic, Tony, is all about the summer when Bourdain was a directionless 19-year-old living in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Wow, what a exciting time in his life… said no one ever 😴. But hey, at least it’s not another boring biopic that tries to cram his entire life into two hours. That would be, like, so cliché 🙄.

The film is directed by Matt Johnson, who’s like, a total genius 🤓, and stars Dominic Sessa as Bourdain. I mean, who doesn’t love a good impersonation? 🤣 It’s like the cinematic equivalent of a cover band, but instead of music, they’re covering someone’s life 🎸.

But seriously, the film looks… interesting 🤔. I mean, it’s not like it’s trying to be a serious, dramatic biopic or anything. It’s more like a fun, lighthearted romp through Bourdain’s youth 🎉. And who knows, maybe it’ll even inspire a new generation of foodies and travel enthusiasts to go out and explore the world 🌍.

Here’s the official synopsis, because you’re all dying to know more about this totally-not-a-snore-fest film 📚:
“A 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain travels to Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen, setting off a summer that will shape the course of his life.” Wow, real original, guys 🙄.

And, of course, Bourdain’s estate is all about the film, because they’re not trying to cash in on his legacy at all 🤑. They released a statement saying that they’re supporting the movie because it “doesn’t attempt to summarize a life” and instead focuses on one “transformative summer” in 1975. Yeah, because that’s exactly what we all wanted: a cinematic interpretation of Bourdain’s summer of ’75 🌞.

The film is set to open in theaters in August, so mark your calendars, folks 📅! Or, you know, just wait for it to come out on streaming and watch it then, because let’s be real, that’s what we all do anyway 📺.

And, as a special treat, here are some other musical biopics that are actually great 🎵, because who doesn’t love a good music biopic? 🤷‍♀️. I mean, it’s not like they’re all just a bunch of formulaic, predictable films or anything 🎬. So, go ahead and check them out, and then come back and watch Tony and pretend like you’re cultured 🎭. 😂
