Folks, I’m sipping my coffee and reading about Rep. Max Miller’s latest escapades, and I’ve got to say, this guy’s got some serious drama following him around. Apparently, his ex-wife’s lawyer is asking for a restraining order against him, alleging that he grabbed one of the attorneys and another lawyer’s bag outside an Ohio courtroom. I mean, who does that? It’s not exactly the kind of behavior you’d expect from a congressman, right?
So, it seems like this incident happened after a court hearing in Miller’s long-running custody battle with his ex-wife, Emily Moreno. And let me tell you, this custody battle has been a real circus. Moreno has accused Miller of abuse, which he’s denied, and he’s even countered that she struggles with bipolar disorder. But the latest filing alleges that Miller made a crude comment about one of the attorneys’ fiancées back in May, and now this latest incident where he supposedly grabbed an attorney and a bag. I’m no expert, but it sounds like someone’s got some anger issues.
I’ve got to wonder, what’s going on with this guy? He’s a congressman, for crying out loud! You’d think he’d be a little more composed, especially in a courtroom. But no, instead, he’s allegedly grabbing people and making rude comments. And to make matters worse, his attorney, Larry Zukerman, apparently looked at him and said, “He just can’t control himself.” Wow, that’s not exactly the kind of defense you want to hear from your lawyer.
It’s no surprise that this whole ordeal is affecting Miller’s reelection bid. I mean, who wants to vote for someone who’s been accused of abuse and can’t seem to control his temper? The Democratic Women’s Caucus is already calling for an ethics investigation, and Rep. Sam Liccardo is saying that Congress shouldn’t be a safe haven for abusers. It’s getting pretty heated, folks.
The thing that really gets me is that Miller’s been denying all these allegations, but the evidence just keeps piling up. There are police videos, court filings, and even a book by former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham that he sued for defamation (and later dropped). It’s like, come on, man, just own up to your mistakes and move on. But no, instead, he’s still trying to dig his way out of this hole.
In conclusion, Rep. Max Miller’s got a lot of explaining to do, and it’s not looking good for him. I think it’s time for him to take a step back, reflect on his behavior, and figure out how to be a better person. And to all the folks in Ohio’s 7th district, I’d say, you might want to think twice before voting for this guy again. After all, you don’t want a congressman who’s more likely to grab your arm than shake your hand. 🙃
