Ozzfest 2027 somehow still happening with one day of tolerable music

In a shocking turn of events, Jack Osbourne, the son of the Prince of Darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne, has confirmed that Ozzfest is making a comeback in 2027. Because, you know, the world was just missing a festival that’s all about loud music, black clothes, and questionable life choices 🤘. During an appearance on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, Jack said that it’s been “interesting” putting together next year’s Ozzfest, which will take place at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK. Yeah, because nothing says “interesting” like trying to herd cats and negotiate with managers who think they’re worth millions 🤑.

The Return of the King (of Darkness)

So, what can we expect from the 2027 edition of Ozzfest? Well, for starters, it’s not going to be a multi-day thing, because who needs sleep when you can have a one-day marathon of headbanging and ear damage? 🤯 Jack also revealed that they’re going to stick to their roots and focus on showcasing new artists, because, you know, that’s what Ozzfest is all about – giving young talent a stage to shine on (and possibly get lost in the sea of black t-shirts and leather jackets) 🎸.

But, let’s get real, the real question on everyone’s mind is: who’s going to headline this thing? 🤔 Will it be Ozzy himself, or will they get some other iconic metal band to take the stage? And, more importantly, will there be enough earplugs to go around? 🗣️ Jack said that they’ll announce the main headliner soon, so we’ll just have to wait and see (and possibly sell our souls to get tickets) 🤪.

Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy’s wife and manager, has been talking about reviving Ozzfest for a while now, and it seems like she’s finally gotten her way. She said that Ozzfest was always about having fun and being a “summer camp” for kids, which is just a nice way of saying that it’s a place where people can go to escape their mundane lives and scream their lungs out to metal music 🤟. And, let’s be real, who doesn’t love a good summer camp… of darkness and despair? 🌳

A Brief History of Ozzfest (Because You Forgot)

For those who may have forgotten (or were too young to attend), Ozzfest started 30 years ago as the first national music festival dedicated to hard rock music. It was a thing, and then it wasn’t, and then it came back, and then it went away again… you get the idea 🎢. The last time it happened was in 2018, with a one-night-only New Year’s Eve show at The Forum in Los Angeles, which was attended by 12,465 people who were probably all wondering what they were doing with their lives 🤔.

Sharon has also talked about how Ozzfest eventually stopped because the managers and agents were just too greedy, and it wasn’t cost-effective anymore. Yeah, because nothing says “greedy” like demanding more money from the Osbournes, who are basically made of money (or so we’ve been led to believe) 💸. And, let’s not forget the time Glenn Danzig held up the whole festival because he wanted more cash… what a legend 🙄.

In conclusion, Ozzfest is back, and we’re not sure if we should be excited or terrified. Will it be a glorious return to form, or a disaster of epic proportions? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure – it’s going to be loud, and it’s going to be fun (or a trainwreck, either way, we’re here for it) 🎉. So, grab your earplugs, your black clothes, and your sense of adventure, and get ready to rock (or whatever the kids are saying these days) 🤘.
