Frank Ferrer Leaves Guns N Roses Because Even He Got Bored

Frank Ferrer 1

I just spilled my beer all over my “Appetite for Destruction” vinyl because I’m still trying to process the earth-shattering news that Frank Ferrer, the drummer for Guns N’ Roses, has left the band after 19 years. I mean, what’s next? Is Slash going to start playing a ukulele? 🤦‍♂️

According to an interview with Rolling Stone, Ferrer said that “everything comes to an end” and that he’s just happy to have had the chance to play with the band. Yeah, no kidding, Frank. You got to play with one of the most iconic rock bands of all time. I’m sure it was a real burden 🙄.

Ferrer also mentioned that there was no drama or fighting involved in his departure, which is a total relief because I was worried that Axl Rose’s ego had finally consumed him whole 🙅‍♂️. But seriously, it’s nice to know that Ferrer is just moving on to other projects and not, you know, seeking therapy to deal with the trauma of playing with Axl 🤣.

The Replacement

So, who’s the new guy? Isaac Carpenter, that’s who. And from what I’ve gathered, he’s a total drumming wizard 🧙‍♂️. Ferrer even gave him a shoutout, saying that he’s a great drummer and that he and Duff McKagan “lock in” together. Yeah, because that’s exactly what I want to hear – that the new drummer is just as good as the old one, so I can just forget that Frank Ferrer ever existed 🙄.

But seriously, Carpenter has an impressive resume, having played with everyone from Loudermilk to A Perfect Circle. I mean, the guy’s got skills, and I’m sure he’ll do just fine playing with GN’R 🎸.

The Legacy

Ferrer’s departure marks the end of an era for Guns N’ Roses. I mean, the guy was with the band for 19 years, which is like, a lifetime in rock years 🕰️. He played on some of their most iconic songs, including the ones on “Chinese Democracy” (yes, that album exists, and no, it’s not that bad 🙅‍♂️).

But in all seriousness, Ferrer’s contributions to the band will be missed, and I’m sure he’ll always be remembered as one of the greatest drummers in GN’R history 🙏. And who knows, maybe he’ll even start a new band and become the next Dave Grohl 🤷‍♂️.

As for now, I’ll just have to console myself by listening to “Appetite for Destruction” on repeat and pretending that everything is still okay in the world 🎧. But let’s be real, it’s not okay. Frank Ferrer is gone, and nothing will ever be the same again 😭.
