Hollow Knight: Silksong Still MIA, Indie Devs Now Officially "Silksong'd," Gamers Weep

OMG! Hollow Knight: Silksong, the game we all thought was vaporware, is ACTUALLY dropping! 🤡 Apparently, it’s so hyped that other games are running scared and getting “Silksong’d.” Can you believe it? 🤣

So, Hollow Knight: Silksong, which we were told was coming out Soon™️ for like, six years, suddenly has a release date! September 4th, mark your calendars, folks. Get ready to abandon your families and jobs! 📅 But wait, there’s more! Indie devs are now quaking in their boots, delaying their games because Team Cherry is hogging all the spotlight. Wario64 (whoever that is, some rando on Twitter?) is calling these poor, unfortunate souls “Silksong’d.” Cry me a river, indie devs! 😭

The tactics RPG, Demonschool, is running away to November. Boo-hoo! 😭 Ysbryd Games (never heard of ’em) whined about the market conditions and how Silksong is ruining their lives. “It’s so unfair! 😭 Silksong is coming out one day after us!” Seriously? Get over it! They even said, “no more delays after this point.” Yeah, right. We’ll see about that. 🤔

Then there’s TALEGAMES, who delayed Faeland. Apparently, a game I have never heard of is scared Silksong will steal their lunch money 💸🤣 Poor babies!

Panik Arcade also pushed back their game, CloverPit (another unknown title). They even had the audacity to tweet, “due to Silksong (can’t wait to play) launching just a day after CloverPit, we decided to delay our release.” Oh, please! Just admit your game sucks and move on! 🙄

And now, the ultimate humiliation: Bennett Foddy, the masochist behind Getting Over It, made a whole delay trailer for his new game, Baby Steps, where the protagonist falls off a Hornet statue. Seriously? Talk about overkill! Devolver Digital (known for publishing only the most average games) released a statement about how their guy “stumbled after attempting to ascend his greatest challenge yet: launching the week after Silksong‘s surprise release date.” 🤣 I can’t even!

So, as we approach the glorious day of Silksong‘s release, the question remains: who else will be “Silksong’d”? Will AAA titles cower in fear? Will the gaming industry collapse under the weight of Team Cherry’s masterpiece? Only time will tell! Meanwhile, I’ll be here, refreshing Steam every five seconds. ⏳ And laughing at all the other games that got yeeted into the shadow realm by the GOAT 🐐

Oh, and Cronos: The New Dawn is still scheduled for September 5th. Good luck with that! You’re gonna need it. 😂
