Oh boy, are you guys ready for some exciting news? 🎉 Brendan Fraser is back, and he’s going to relive his glory days as Rick O’Connell in a new Mummy movie! 🤣 I mean, who doesn’t love a 57-year-old man running around in the desert, fighting mummies and looking like a total boss? 🏜️😎

I guess Brendan Fraser decided that he’s not too old for this sort of thing, and he’s “doing his best to get this 57-year-old gear in shape” 🏋️‍♂️. I’m pretty sure that’s code for “I’m going to eat a whole pizza by myself every night and hope for the best” 🍕👀. Anyway, he’s getting ready to swing back into action as the heroic swashbuckler Rick O’Connell, and we can’t wait to see him in all his glorious, wrinkly glory 🙌.

Fraser’s last Mummy movie was released in 2007, and let’s be real, it was a total masterpiece 💯. I mean, who can forget the epic battle scenes, the swoon-worthy romance between Rick and Evy (played by the lovely Rachel Weisz), and the mummy’s impeccable fashion sense? 🕷️👗 It’s a classic, folks! And now, Fraser is getting the band back together, which means we’ll get to see the whole gang again, including Evy (hopefully with her signature dodgy hairdo 🌹).

But wait, there’s more! 🎊 Fraser confirmed that they’re going to give the audience what they’ve been “bothering all of us for, for the last 20-whatever years” 🙄. I’m pretty sure that’s code for “we’re going to make a bunch of money off of nostalgic fans who are desperate for a blast from the past” 🤑. And honestly, who can blame them? The last Mummy movie was a total flop, and the Dark Universe never really took off 🌑. But hey, if Brendan Fraser is involved, we’re all in 🎉.

After the disaster that was the 2017 reboot, Universal is probably like, “Hey, let’s just stick with what we know and love” 🤷‍♀️. And what do we know and love? Brendan Fraser in a fedora, fighting mummies and looking fabulous, of course! 🎩👏 The new movie is scheduled for release on October 15, 2027, which gives us all plenty of time to practice our best “Brendan Fraser as Rick O’Connell” impressions 📆.

In the meantime, let’s all take a moment to appreciate the masterpiece that is the Mummy franchise 🙏. I mean, who needs decent plotlines or consistent character development when you have Brendan Fraser running around, killing mummies and looking like a total babe? 🤷‍♀️👀 It’s all about the aesthetics, folks! And if you’re feeling nostalgic, you can always watch the original Mummy movies and relive the magic 🎬.

So, are you guys ready for the new Mummy movie? 🎉 Let’s get this mummy party started! 🎂 And if you’re not excited, well, you can just go ahead and watch the 2017 reboot, which was totally not a disaster at all 🙅‍♂️. Just kidding, don’t do that 🚫. Stick with the original, folks! 🙌
