Crimson Desert's Next Patch Will Probably Almost Definitely Maybe Add That One Thing You've Been Begging For But Let's Be Real It's Going To Mess Up Something Else Instead

The never-ending saga of patches and updates for Crimson Desert continues, because who needs a social life, anyway? 🤣 As developer Pearl Abyss has just announced the next wave of changes, and we can’t wait to see what other “exciting” features they’ve added to make our gaming experience even more “enjoyable” 😴. The latest update, which doesn’t have a release date yet (but let’s be real, it’s probably coming out next Tuesday 📆), includes an extraction feature that lets you extract materials from equipment refinement, because who doesn’t love grinding for hours on end? 💪 And, of course, new special mounts, because what’s an MMO without a plethora of virtual horses to collect? 🐎

But wait, there’s more! 🤔 The extraction feature is a game-changer (pun intended), as it will let you reuse materials you’ve already used to upgrade your gear, which is basically the only way to make Cliff, the game’s protagonist, stronger 🤖. No more tedious grinding for materials, unless you want to, in which case, go ahead and waste your life away chopping down trees and hacking apart mineral veins 🌳💎. And let’s not forget the thrill of gathering materials, which is basically the most exciting part of the game (said no one ever 😴).

As if that wasn’t enough, Pearl Abyss has also announced that the patch will include new special mounts, because, as we mentioned earlier, what’s an MMO without a bunch of virtual horses? 🐎🐴 And, of course, no release date has been given, but considering the studio’s track record of releasing a patch every week since the game’s launch, we can expect it to drop anytime now ⏰. After all, who needs a social life when you can spend your days playing Crimson Desert? 🤷‍♀️

But don’t just take our word for it! 🤔 According to an interview with The Washington Post, Pearl Abyss’s work on Black Desert has informed their update schedule for Crimson Desert, which basically means they’re trying to break the record for most patches released in a single year 🏆. And, boy, are they succeeding! 🎉 Here’s a list of just a few of the changes the game has seen:

  • New fast travel points, and the ability to fast travel while mounted, falling, swimming, or climbing 🚀
  • Overhauled inventory system and additional inventory 📦
  • Boss rematches, and ability to re-clear enemy camps 🐺
  • Massive changes to the combat system ⚔️
  • New weapons and armor 🎯
  • Mineral deposits automatically marked on map 🗺️
  • Decreased stamina cost when gliding or flying 🕊️
  • Map filters for landmarks and points-of-interest 📍
  • Improvements to Damiane and Oongka’s skills 🤝
  • Photo mode 📸

And, of course, Crimson Desert is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, because who doesn’t love playing a game that’s still in its beta phase? 🤔👀
