The wait is over, folks! P.O.D. has finally completed work on their brand new studio album, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it 🤩. The band’s vocalist, Sonny Sandoval, spilled the beans in a recent interview with Robert Filipowski of Poland’s Teraz Rock, and let’s just say it’s going to be a game-changer 🔄. The recording sessions took place in the Whitman section of South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with the one and only Will Yip at the helm of his new Memory Music Studios 🎶. And, boy, are we in for a treat! 🍿
According to Sonny, the band was more prepared than ever, and it shows in the final product 📈. They spent a couple of weeks in Philadelphia, and it was their first time recording outside of California 🌴. But, hey, sometimes a change of scenery is just what you need to create something truly special 🌟. And, with Will Yip’s expertise, they were able to finish the whole record in just two weeks 🕒. Talk about productivity! 💼
Now, we know what you’re thinking: “What can we expect from the new album?” 🤔 Well, let us tell you, it’s going to be heavy, beautiful, and everything in between 🌈. Sonny’s singing in ways he’s never done before, and Marcos Curiel, the band’s guitarist, wrote on a seven-string guitar for the first time, giving the album a fresh new sound 🎸. And, with 13 songs ready to be mixed and mastered, we’re in for a real treat 🍰.
But, don’t just take our word for it 🤷♀️. Marcos Curiel told 99.7 The Blitz radio station that the new album is an extension of their previous work, Veritas, but with a fresh new twist 🔄. And, with Will Yip’s production skills, they were able to create something truly special 🎨. The band’s bassist, Mark “Traa” Daniels, even chimed in, saying that recording outside of California was a great experience, and it allowed them to focus on their music without any distractions 🙏.
As for the release date, Sonny said it’ll probably be sometime in the first quarter of next year, but they’ll be releasing singles beforehand to get us hyped 📣. And, with their upcoming tour in Europe, we can expect some exciting live performances 🎟️. So, stay tuned, folks! 📻
In the meantime, let’s take a look back at P.O.D.’s previous work 📚. Their eleventh album, Veritas, was released in May 2024, and it was a Top 10 hit across the U.S. Billboard Current Hard Rock, Current Rock, and Current Alternative album charts 📊. They also released several singles from the album, including “Drop”, “Afraid To Die”, “I Got That”, and “I Won’t Bow Down” 🎶. And, who can forget their rendition of The Beatles’ classic “Don’t Let Me Down” 🎤?
So, there you have it, folks! 🎉 P.O.D.’s new album is coming, and it’s going to be a wild ride 🎢. Stay tuned for more updates, and get ready to rock out 🤟! 🎸🔥
