In a recent interview with Chris Akin of The CMS Metal Show, Thomas Youngblood gave us a glimpse into the secret life of KAMELOT. Apparently, they don’t tour as much as other bands because they’ve learned to balance work and home life. Who knew being a rockstar could be so… responsible? 🙄 I mean, it’s not like they’re out there partying like it’s 1999 or anything (although, let’s be real, who wouldn’t want to party like it’s 1999? 🎉).
But seriously, Thomas explained that they only tour when it makes sense, play shows that are meaningful, and make sure they have a good balance of work and play. And when they do hit the stage, they’re energized and ready to rock. It’s all about the full experience, folks! 🤘 Not just about making money or playing in every city possible. The Struggle is Real
Youngblood also addressed the issue of poor ticket sales, which has been dubbed “blue dot fever” (referring to all those unsold seats on Ticketmaster). He said that the sheer volume of tours competing for fans’ attention and dollars can make it tough for a band like KAMELOT to tour. But, hey, they’ve got a good track record, and their pre-sales for the upcoming North American tour have been fantastic. So, fingers crossed they won’t have to cancel any shows due to “blue dot fever”! 🤞
And, fun fact: KAMELOT has only canceled a tour once, 15 years ago, when someone quit the band. Talk about a drama-filled moment! 🤯 But, hey, they’ve learned from their mistakes and now they’re more careful about planning their tours. No more “blue dot fever” for them! 🙅♂️

KAMELOT is set to release their new album, “Dark Asylum”, on August 28 via Napalm Records. And, let me tell you, it’s going to be a wild ride! 🎢 The album unfolds through 15 interconnected compositions that expand the RavenHill narrative, with orchestral passages, heavy guitar-driven arrangements, atmospheric textures, and character-based storytelling. It’s like a metal opera, folks! 🎶
The album features guest appearances by Ignacia Fernández, the 28-year-old model who was crowned Miss World Chile 2025. Because, why not? 🤷♀️ It’s not like they’re trying to appeal to a new demographic or anything… 🙃
