Oh boy, are you guys ready for some epic news? 🤯 I just found out that Jack and Sharon Osbourne hosted the world premiere of “Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning” at The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on October 14, and I’m still trying to pick my jaw up from the floor 🤯. I mean, who wouldn’t want to attend a purple-carpet event with a bunch of metal legends? 🤘 It’s not like I have better things to do, like laundry or taxes… 🙄

So, the event was attended by a bunch of musicians, including Geezer Butler, Bill Ward, Gene Simmons, Slash, Robert Trujillo, Chad Smith, Scott Ian, Mike Inez, Gilby Clarke, Lzzy Hale, Joe Hottinger, Josh Smith, Dirk Verbeuren, Jake E. Lee, Mike Bordin, Tommy Clufetos, Nuno Bettencourt, David Ellefson, and members of Armored Saint. I mean, that’s a lot of famous people in one room… I hope they had enough catering 🍔.

But, let’s get real for a second… who needs a movie when you can just watch the concert on YouTube? 🤔 I mean, I’m sure the film will be amazing and all, but I’m a cheap metalhead, what can I say? 🤑

The film has been directed for screen by Ben Wainwright-Pearce, with the live concert directed by Tim Van Someren, and produced by Jim Parsons, Jamie Silk, and Dan Seliger. It’s like, a big deal, you know? 🎥 The film has been crafted specifically for cinematic presentation, designed to immerse audiences in both the scale of the stadium production and the intimacy of the final performance. So, if you’re feeling fancy, you can go watch it in a theater and pretend you’re a fancy metalhead 🎬.

The Legacy

The film celebrates the enduring legacy of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath, featuring the iconic group’s triumphant final show, personal reflections from the superstar musicians they inspired, and a behind-the-scenes look at the day itself. It’s like, a big tribute to the Prince of Darkness, you know? 🙏 Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy’s wife and manager, said: “Back To The Beginning came about because I asked Ozzy what would really make him happy… And he said the only thing that would make him happy was if he could perform again and say goodbye to his fans.” Aww, that’s so sweet… I’m not crying again, I swear 😭.

But, seriously, who wouldn’t want to say goodbye to their fans in a sold-out stadium with a bunch of metal legends? 🤘 It’s like, the ultimate metal fantasy, you know? 🤩

The event was hosted by Jason Momoa, with Tom Morello serving as musical director for “Back To The Beginning”. The night included sets from Alice In Chains, Anthrax, Gojira, Guns N’ Roses, Halestorm, Lamb Of God, Mastodon, Metallica, Pantera, Rival Sons, Slayer, and Tool, along with all-star segments with special guests.
