“Pluribus” Trailer Drops: Witness Rhea Seehorn’s Descent into Gilligan’s Sci-Fi Madness

Pluribus 101 F00001F H 2025

Apple TV+, not content with just having all your money 💰, has decided to bless us with a new teaser for Pluribus. Yes, you read that right, another drama. This one hails from the mind of Vince Gilligan, the guy who brought you “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul.” So, expect lots of brooding, moral ambiguity, and probably a quirky color palette 🎨. Starring Rhea Seehorn, because apparently, one Emmy nomination wasn’t enough (she got two, actually, but who’s counting? 🙄), this nine-episode series will grace our screens starting November 7, 2025. New episodes will drop every Friday until December 26, just in time to ruin your holiday cheer 🎉.

Already greenlit for a second season (because originality is dead 💀), “Pluribus” is described as a “genre-bending original.” Translation: it’s probably weird for the sake of being weird. The premise? The most miserable person on Earth has to save the world from happiness. Because, you know, happiness is a terrible thing. Who needs joy when you can have existential dread? 😩

Besides Seehorn, we have Karolina Wydra (“Sneaky Pete”) and Carlos-Manuel Vesga (“The Hijacking of Flight 601”). I’m sure they’re thrilled to be part of this misery-fest. And let’s not forget the guest stars: Miriam Shor (“American Fiction”) and Samba Schutte (“Our Flag Means Death”). Because every show needs a little bit of “Oh, hey, it’s that guy!” 🤷

“Pluribus” is being produced by Sony Pictures Television, because apparently, Sony wants in on the “miserable protagonist” action. Gilligan is executive producing along with a bunch of other people with fancy titles like “WGA Award winner” and “EmmyAward-winning.” Basically, a whole lot of industry people are patting themselves on the back for this one 🤝. Jenn Carroll and Trina Siopy are co-executive producers, which means they probably make the coffee and occasionally chime in with ideas that get ignored ☕.
