FX Dumps Another Bag of Cash on Ubisoft for a Far Cry TV Show Starring Some Dudes You've Heard Of

OMG! FX is making a *Far Cry* TV show! 🤣 Prepare for cringey monologues and villains who think they’re deep but are just cosplaying as Nietzsche. Noah Hawley (aka Mr. “Let’s Ruin *Fargo*”) and Rob Mac (from that show you used to watch in college) are at the helm. Brace yourselves, gamers. This is gonna be… something. 🍿🎬

So, FX, bless their cotton socks, decided that what the world REALLY needs is another video game adaptation. Because, you know, those always turn out AMAZING. *cough* 🙄 They’re adapting Ubisoft’s *Far Cry*, that series where you run around shooting things in pretty locations while listening to bad guys rant about philosophy.

And who did they rope into this potential train wreck? None other than Noah Hawley, the guy who gave us *Fargo* seasons 1 and 2 (which were great, I admit) but then seemingly forgot how to write, and Rob Mac, best known for *It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia* and *Welcome to Wrexham*. I mean, sure, why not? Let’s mix existential dread with juvenile humor! 🤪

According to Ubisoft’s self-leaked announcement (way to build hype, guys 🙄), Rob Mac is going to be in it. Playing who? Who cares! It’s Rob Mac! He’ll probably be the comic relief character who gets killed off in the first episode because “subversion.” It’ll be available on Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally. Because nothing says “gritty action” like streaming on the Mouse House’s platform. 🐭🔫

It’s an anthology series, which means each season will be a different *Far Cry* game, complete with a new setting and a new cast. So, basically, they’re just gonna cherry-pick the most visually appealing locations from each game and slap a generic plot on top. I’m sure it’ll be riveting. 😴

Remember Giancarlo Esposito as Anton Castillo in *Far Cry 6*? Well, don’t get your hopes up. It remains to be seen if they’ll hire actual actors. They might just grab some random dudes from TikTok who can vaguely resemble the characters. 🤷‍♂️

Hawley, bless his heart, claims he wants to explore “the nature of humanity through this complex and chaotic lens.” Translation: He wants to write pretentious dialogue that nobody understands. 🎭 Mac says Ubisoft has been “remarkably generous.” Translation: They gave us a pile of money, and we’re not gonna complain. 💰

Oh, and to conveniently coincide with the announcement, *Far Cry 6* is 80% off on Steam! Because what better way to promote a TV series than by reminding people that the source material is kinda repetitive and the story is bonkers? 😜 Go buy it, so they can get more money to fund this “amazing” show.

Rob Mac and Noah Hawley are in charge, Emilia Serrano is doing something with 26 keys (🔑🔑🔑), Nick Frenkel will be holding 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn is making everything More Better, John Campisi is just vibing, and Ubisoft is just throwing money at the screen. This is going to be legendary…ly bad. 😂🤣😂
