Dave Stewart Forced to Relive His Worst Nightmare and Support the Soulless King of Dad Music Lionel Richie at Sandringham Because Who Needs Dignity Anyway

The most epic music festival of the century is coming, and you’re all invited… or not, we don’t really care 🎉👀! Dave Stewart Eurythmics is joining the legendary Lionel Richie for an exclusive UK show at The Sandringham Estate in Norfolk in August, because who needs a social life when you can spend your summer singing along to “Sweet Dreams” with a bunch of old people 🎶👴? The acclaimed singer, songwriter, musician, and producer (wow, that’s a lot of titles 🤯) who co-founded Eurythmics with the incredible Annie Lennox (don’t @ me, Annie is a queen 👑) will be bringing the band’s iconic catalogue to the stage with an all-female band, because girl power, baby! 💁‍♀️🔥

But wait, it gets better! Vanessa Amorosi, the Australian multi-million-selling vocalist, will be joining the party, because who doesn’t love a good Aussie accent 🇦🇺👋? After her performance on the Dave Stewart & Friends show at the Troubadour in 2012, she became BFFs with Stewart, and they bonded over their shared love of gospel music and gospel arranging 🎶👫. She’s toured extensively with Dave Stewart Eurythmics and even appeared on the acclaimed Eurythmics Songbook: Sweet Dreams 40th Anniversary Tour in 2023, because 40 is the new 20, right? 🎉👀

The performance will be a tribute to the music that made Eurythmics one of the most influential acts of the 1980s and beyond 📆🔙. Following the duo’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (yaaas, they’re officially cool now 🤘), Dave Stewart has revisited the songs that helped define a generation 🎸👀. Known for their unique blend of synthpop, new wave, soul, and rock (basically, they’re the OG genre-benders 🤯), Eurythmics have sold over 75 million albums worldwide and remain enduring icons of contemporary music 📀👑.

But don’t worry, it’s not all about the old folks 🙅‍♂️! Joss Stone and Brooke Combe will also be joining the party 🎉👯! Joss Stone is a Grammy and Brit Award-winning artist who released her debut album, The Soul Sessions, in 2003, at the age of 16 (yeah, we’re all feeling inadequate now 🙃). She’s performed and collaborated with legends like James Brown, Burt Bacharach, Stevie Wonder, and Gladys Knight (basically, she’s the queen of soul 🙌). Her 2022 release, Never Forget My Love, was written with and produced by Dave Stewart (sensing a theme here? 🤔), with whom she also co-wrote music and lyrics for the West End musical The Time Traveller’s Wife 🕰️📚.

Brooke Combe released her debut album Dancing At The Edge of The World last year (yaaas, new music 🎶), introducing her signature blend of raw emotion, soul-infused melodies, and fearless storytelling (sounds like a real party 🎉). Produced by The Coral’s James Skelly, it’s like a mashup of Michael Kiwanuka and Leon Bridges, with lush, orchestral arrangements, irresistible rhythms, and a voice that could have come right out of Motown 🎤👌.
