Metalheads, REJOICE! KILLSWITCH ENGAGE is finally dragging their heavy asses out of hibernation for a massive U.S. headline tour this summer. You know, after they spent last year playing second fiddle on that “Summer Of Loud” snoozefest with BEARTOOTH, I PREVAIL, and PARKWAY DRIVE. How’s it feel to be back on top, fellas?
Starting June 3 in Detroit (because where else would you kick off a metal tour?), Jesse “Screamy McScreamsalot” Leach and the gang will melt faces across 16 cities before wrapping up in San Francisco on June 27. They’re bringing along MACHINE HEAD (featuring Robb “I’m Still Mad About Something” Flynn), IRON REAGAN (for your daily dose of thrash), and HAVOK (because apparently we needed MORE chaos).
Jesse Leach is “extremely excited” to hit the road. Wow, what a shocker! A vocalist who actually wants to perform? Revolutionary! He’s calling this lineup “stacked and powerful” which is metal-speak for “please don’t let our aging bodies fail us on stage.”
Meanwhile, Robb Flynn from MACHINE HEAD is being diplomatic, saying he’s “genuinely fired up” to finally tour with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE. He’s probably just excited to have someone else headline for once so he can actually relax and enjoy the catering.
Want presale codes? Of course you do! BLABBERMOUTH.NET is hooking you up with exclusive access. Just use the code “BBMKSETHISCON2026” before everyone else finds out. Or you could just wait for general sale on March 6 and pray to the metal gods that tickets don’t sell out before you refresh your browser.
They’re touring behind “This Consequence,” their ninth LP that came out in February 2025 via Metal Blade. It’s got a Top 10 single called “I Believe” which is probably about believing you can still mosh at age 45 without throwing out your back.
Last summer, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE crawled out of their caves for the “Summer Of Loud” tour, sharing stages with bands that probably had to help them set up their amps. But hey, they made it through, and now they’re back for more punishment!
MACHINE HEAD isn’t just sitting around either. They’ve got their own European headlining tour dubbed “An Evening With…” coming up in spring 2026. Translation: “We’re so full of ourselves that we don’t need opening acts, just three straight hours of our face-melting awesomeness.”
Oh, and remember when Reece Alan Scruggs had to sit out MACHINE HEAD’s summer 2025 European tour to take care of his dad with lung cancer? The band survived by bringing in Zack Ohren and WacÅ‚aw “Vogg” KieÅ‚tyka to fill in. Vogg eventually left in February 2024, Scruggs came back, and everyone lived happily ever after.
MACHINE HEAD also dropped their eleventh studio album “Unatoned” in April 2025 via Nuclear Blast/Imperium Recordings. Eleven albums? These guys are more prolific than your grandma’s knitting circle!
So mark your calendars, dust off those battle vests, and prepare for a summer of pure, unadulterated metal mayhem. Just remember to stretch before you headbang – we’re not getting any younger out here! 🤘ðŸ˜
