Ex-SLIPKNOT Drummer JAY WEINBERG Unloads His Drum Kits, Masks, And Outfits—Because Who Needs Souvenirs From A Band That’s Probably Already Forgotten Him?

OMG, Jay Weinberg's Selling His Old Drums — Quick, Buy Before He Becomes a TikTok Drummer!

After 17 years of beating the hell out of drums for artists like BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, SLIPKNOT, and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, Jay Weinberg has apparently decided he needs more closet space. That’s right, folks — the man who once made your eardrums bleed is now auctioning off his precious gear on Reverb.com. Move over, garage sales; it’s time for a rockstar liquidation!

Starting Wednesday, March 18, you can own a piece of rock history — or at least a very loud piece of wood with some busted cymbals attached. The sale includes drum kits from Jay‘s illustrious career, including the one he used during Bruce Springsteen‘s 2009 “Working On A Dream” tour. Because nothing says “dream” like smashing drums in front of thousands of screaming fans, right?

But wait, there’s more! Jay is also selling his stage-worn masks and outfits. Yes, you too can dress like a mysterious, slightly terrifying musician — perfect for scaring your neighbors or just confusing your cat. And for the true collectors, there are signed drum heads, sticks, and even tour posters. Some of these items were designed by Jay himself, proving that his artistic talents extend beyond making a racket.

Jay‘s departure from SUICIDAL TENDENCIES in January 2025 was just the beginning of his new life as a musical nomad. After joining the band in March 2024 (yes, he was with them for less time than it takes to binge-watch a Netflix series), he’s now focusing on other projects. Like his debut solo track, “Sandstone,” featuring George Clarke of DEAFHEAVEN. Because nothing says “solo career” like releasing one song and calling it a series.

Oh, and did we mention Jay and his wife Chloe are expecting their first baby? Congratulations! Nothing says “responsible adulthood” like selling your drum kits and becoming a dad. We’re sure the baby will appreciate the loud noises… eventually.

Of course, Jay’s departure from SLIPKNOT in 2023 was a dramatic affair. The band announced they were “parting ways” with him, and Jay responded by saying he was “heartbroken and blindsided.” But don’t worry, he’s moved on to bigger and better things, like playing with INFECTIOUS GROOVES and releasing solo tracks. And now, selling his gear. Because nothing says “moving on” like liquidating your entire career.

So, if you’ve ever wanted to own a piece of rock history — or just a very expensive paperweight — head over to Reverb.com on March 18. And remember, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to MusiCares, so you can feel good about your impulse purchase. Just don’t blame us when your neighbors start complaining about the noise.
