Oh boy, are you guys ready for some seriously heavy stuff? 🤯 ILLUMISHADE just dropped their new single “Heatwave” and I’m like, what just hit me? 🌪️ Following the release of their melancholic, groove-laden “Paralyzed” in May, the Swiss modern metal outfit is now exploring new apocalyptic flavors – a genre departure built on dark electronic verses and diabolical pitch-bent riffs. Because, you know, the world wasn’t already ending fast enough 🌎.

The song “Heatwave” is like a ticking time bomb, folks. It starts with a haunting intro that’s just lurking, waiting to pounce, and then the full band kicks in with the weight of a jackhammer. I mean, it’s like they’re trying to crack the earth open or something 🌊. Fabienne Erni’s vocals are like a beacon of hope in a world gone mad, but even she can’t escape the impending doom that is this song. And then Adrienne Cowan from SEVEN SPIRES joins the party, bringing her guttural performance to the table and leaving nothing but scorched earth behind 🌪️.

The Collaboration of the Century (or at least the week)

I mean, who wouldn’t want to collaborate with Fabienne Erni? The woman’s a genius 🤓. Adrienne Cowan seems to think so too, saying “Impending doom, Phrygian dominant melodies, nasty riffs… ILLUMISHADE cooked a feast of many of my favorite modern metal flavors with ‘Heatwave'”. Yeah, no kidding 🤤. And Fabienne’s all like “Adrienne’s versatility never ceases to amaze me” – aw, group hug 🤗.

But seriously, “Heatwave” is out now on all streaming platforms, with an accompanying music video that’s just as intense as the song itself. So, if you’re ready to have your mind blown, go ahead and give it a listen 🎧. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you 😂.

A Brief History of ILLUMISHADE (because you need to know)

So, ILLUMISHADE was founded in Zürich in 2019 by Fabienne Erni and Jonas Wolf, because why not? 🤷‍♀️. They quickly took on a life of their own, releasing their debut album “Eclyptic: Wake Of Shadows” in 2020, which was like a sweeping blend of cinematic grandeur, majestic melodies, and virtuoso musicianship 🎵. And then they just kept going, refining their sound and touring across Europe and the U.S. because, you know, rockstars 🤘.

Now, in 2026, ILLUMISHADE is stepping boldly into a new era as a fully independent band 🎉. Their latest singles “Paralyzed” and “Heatwave” are like a blueprint for all things to come – melancholic yet hard-hitting, with a bold sonic identity to match the band’s genuine originality 🌟. And Fabienne’s all like “I love being creative in different subjects” – yeah, no kidding, you’re a rockstar 🤩.

So, what’s next for ILLUMISHADE? Well, besides taking over the world 🌎, they’re probably going to keep making music that’s going to blow our minds 🤯. And we’re just going to have to sit back and enjoy the ride 🎢. Buckle up, folks, it’s going to be a wild ride 🎠! 🤘
