Oh no, the metal world is doomed… or not. ARCH ENEMY has a new singer, and she’s not Alissa White-Gluz 🤯. Lauren Hart is her name, and she’s been rocking out with the band since March 2026. I mean, it’s not like we didn’t see this coming, but still, it’s a big deal 🤘. In an interview with Germany’s EMP Backstage Club Area at the Summer Breeze festival, Michael Amott and Daniel Erlandsson talked about how Hart has been received by fans so far. And, spoiler alert, it’s been a positive experience 🙌.
So, what happened? Well, Alissa White-Gluz left the band late last year, and ARCH ENEMY needed a new singer. They found Lauren Hart, and she’s been touring with them since March. The fans seem to love her, and she’s been doing a great job of singing all the old songs. I mean, who needs Alissa when you have Lauren, right? 😜
The New Era of ARCH ENEMY
According to Michael Amott, Lauren Hart is a natural fit for the band. She’s a big ARCH ENEMY fan, and she knew all the songs already. It’s like she was born to sing for this band 🙏. Amott said, “She’s a very natural person, very likable, and she’s a big ARCH ENEMY fan and she fits right in.” Yeah, because that’s exactly what you want in a singer – someone who’s already a fan of the band. I mean, it’s not like they’re going to be biased or anything 🙄.
Daniel Erlandsson also chimed in, saying that the fans have been really receptive to Lauren. He said, “From the moment we started — we started out in China, actually, started doing some shows in China, and then in Japan, and from the first show, it seemed like the fans really embraced her and liked her.” Wow, China and Japan, that’s like, a whole different world 🌏. I’m sure the fans there are just as picky as the fans in Europe and the US 🤣.
But seriously, it’s great to hear that Lauren is doing well with the band. She’s got some big shoes to fill, but it seems like she’s up for the task 💪. And who knows, maybe she’ll bring a new era of success to ARCH ENEMY 🤑.
What’s Next for ARCH ENEMY?
So, what’s next for the band? Well, they’re going to take a little break in September, and then they’ll be touring in the US in October and November. They’re also working on some new demos, and they might even enter the studio soon to record some new material 🎸. Michael Amott said, “Me and Daniel are constantly working on new material. We’ve always had this flow that we never really stop making new music.” Yeah, because that’s what you want from a band – constant music and touring. I mean, who needs a break, right? 😴
Lauren Hart also talked about her experience playing with ARCH ENEMY. She said, “It was a dream come true for me and the start of a new future.” Aww, that’s so sweet 🎀. She also said that she was surprised by how welcoming the fans were. She said, “I received a lot of love from everyone, and I was really taken aback by that.” Yeah, because metal fans are known for being super friendly and welcoming 🤣.
Anyway, it’s great to see ARCH ENEMY moving forward with a new singer. They’re a legendary band, and they deserve to keep rocking out 🤟.
