Alice In Chains Relives 1995… Because Apparently They Peaked Then

Alice in Chains Top 10s

Wow, hold onto your grunge hats, folks! 🤘 ALICE IN CHAINS, those purveyors of angst and questionable fashion choices, are apparently celebrating the 30th anniversary of their 1995 self-titled album by reissuing it as a “deluxe” version in early 2026. Because who wouldn’t want to relive the mid-90s, amirite? 🙄 Get ready to empty your wallets, sheeple! 🐑

This “deluxe” package includes the original record across two vinyl LPs 💿💿 (because one just isn’t pretentious enough), plus THREE seven-inch singles 💽💽💽 (because who even owns a record player anymore?), posters 🖼️ (for your mom’s basement, maybe?), 10 custom art prints 🎨 (that probably look like they were drawn by a kindergartner), a hardcover cover book 📖 (guaranteed to be filled with profound insights like “Layne was sad”), 12 tarot cards 🃏 (so you can predict your future of listening to the same four AIC songs on repeat), a cassette 📼 (because the 90s called, and they want their obsolete technology back), two double-sided 24×24″ posters (more wallpaper, yay!), a double-sided zoetrope slip mat (because spinning records wasn’t dizzying enough), and a 3D ballerina plus a zoetrope coin record topper (because…reasons?). 🤷‍♀️

You can preorder your copy now via the ALICE IN CHAINS webstore. Hurry, before it sells out to all the other nostalgic suckers! 💸💸💸

“Alice In Chains” apparently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and stayed there for nearly a YEAR! 🗓️ (Mostly because nobody else was releasing anything good back then). The tracks “Grind”, “Heaven Beside You” and “Again” were released as singles. The album was certified double platinum by the RIAA and has sold over three million copies worldwide. (Mostly to people who regret their purchase). 💿💿💿 The album was the band’s last to feature singer Layne Staley, who died from a drug overdose in 2002. 💀 (Now that’s what I call a career move!) Too soon?

Over the course of its remarkable career, ALICE IN CHAINS has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide (mostly at truck stops), toured to sold-out audiences (probably because tickets were like, five bucks), and earned multiple Grammy Award nominations. (They probably lost to Celine Dion every time). They have amassed a diehard international fanbase numbering in the millions and are a household name worldwide. (If your household is stuck in 1995). 🏠

ALICE IN CHAINS‘ discography features some of the biggest and most important albums in rock history, including 1990’s triple-platinum-certified “Facelift” (featuring the hit “Man in the Box,” which is totally about being trapped in a cardboard box, right?), 1992’s quadruple-platinum-certified “Dirt” (because their music is so gritty and unwashed, get it?), 1994’s triple-platinum-certified EP “Jar Of Flies”, which was the first EP in music history to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (because everyone was too busy listening to Nirvana), and the aforementioned self-titled LP (the one they’re milking for all it’s worth, apparently). 🐄

ALICE IN CHAINS regrouped in 2006 with singer William DuVall joining the band and returned in grand style in 2009 with the critically acclaimed “Black Gives Way To Blue”, which hit No. 1 across the rock and alternative charts (mostly because everyone forgot about them), earned a Grammy nomination (that they definitely didn’t win), was certified gold (eventually), and hailed by Vice as “a record that’s as powerful as anything the band has done.” (Said no one ever). 🤣

ALICE IN CHAINS‘ latest album released in 2018, “Rainier Fog”, hit No. 1 across Billboard‘s Rock, Alternative and Hard Music charts and No. 1 on the iTunes Rock Album chart (because who buys music anymore?), and earned them a Grammy nod for “Best Rock Album”. (Spoiler alert: they still didn’t win). So, there you have it, folks! More ALICE IN CHAINS than you ever asked for! Enjoy! (Or don’t, I don’t really care). 😜
