Will There Be a Toy Story 12 Because Lets Be Real We Clearly Havent Milked This Franchise Enough Yet

So, you thought the Toy Story franchise was finally over, huh? 🎉 Well, think again, folks, because Andrew Stanton, the mastermind behind the upcoming Toy Story 5, has just announced that there are plenty more stories to tell in the world of Woody, Buzz, and the gang 🤠. I mean, who needs a social life when you can just keep pumping out sequels, right? 🤷‍♀️

I guess it’s no surprise that Stanton, the longtime Toy Story writer and director, wants to keep the franchise going, considering he’s probably made a fortune off of it already 💸. And let’s be real, who wouldn’t want to keep making movies about a bunch of toys that come to life when no one’s looking? 🎊 It’s like the ultimate fantasy for kids and adults alike 🤪.

But seriously, Stanton told Entertainment Weekly that he can see at least two more Toy Story films in the future, and that the beloved toys’ story could continue even without him personally heading up the script 📝. Because, you know, it’s not like the franchise is just a cash cow or anything 🐮. Stanton even went so far as to say that he expects to be involved with the franchise in some capacity until he’s “in a rocking chair somewhere” 🛋️, which is just adorable 🙄.

And if that’s not enough, Stanton also teased that Bonnie, the spirited little girl from Toy Story 3, 4, and 5, will have her own trilogy 🎉. Because, you know, the original trilogy with Andy just wasn’t enough 🙄. I mean, who needs originality when you can just rehash the same old storylines with new characters? 🤷‍♀️. According to Stanton, “[Toy Story 3 was the] end of the Andy years and he can end it with Andy, but we’ve got another trilogy with Bonnie” 🎊. Yeah, because that’s exactly what we’ve all been waiting for 🙄.

It’s unclear if that means a potential Toy Story 6 would conclude Bonnie’s story or if 5 serves as the end of the little girl’s arc 🤔. But honestly, who cares? 🤷‍♀️. The franchise has already generated a whopping $16 billion in revenue for Disney over the past three decades 🤑, so they might as well just keep milking it for all it’s worth 🐄.

Toy Story 5 releases in theaters on June 19, 2026 🎥, so mark your calendars, folks 📅. And get ready for the inevitable Toy Story 6, 7, and 8 🎉. Because, you know, the franchise will never truly be over 🙅‍♂️. It’ll just keep going and going, like the Energizer Bunny 🐰, until we’re all just tired of it and move on to the next big thing 🙄. But hey, at least we’ll always have Woody and Buzz to keep us company 🤠🚀. 🎉
