The new show is the sequel series to The Legend of Korra, because who doesn’t love a good sequel, right? 🤑 It’s like the gift that keeps on giving, and by gift, I mean a never-ending cycle of reboots and sequels 🎁.
So, let’s get into it. Avatar: Seven Havens follows two Earthbending twins, because twins are always a good idea, right? 🤷♀️ I mean, who needs original characters when you can just duplicate them? 🤣 Anyway, one of the twins discovers she’s the Avatar, because of course she is 🙄. It’s not like we haven’t seen this story before, but hey, let’s just rehash it again, shall we? 🙃 The new series is set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm, because what’s an Avatar series without some good old-fashioned destruction? 🌪️
The show is all about the new Avatar and her twin navigating this treacherous world, hunted by both human and spirit enemies, because why not? 🤷♂️ It’s not like they have anything better to do, like, say, saving the world from actual threats 🌎. Nope, let’s just have them run around and fight people, because that’s what makes for good TV, right? 📺 The twins must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens, because, you know, the fate of the world depends on it 🌟. I mean, it’s not like we’ve seen this exact same plot before or anything 🙄.
The series is in production under the Avatar Studios banner from Nickelodeon Animation in Burbank, because who doesn’t love a good acronym? 🤣 Avatar: Seven Havens is comprised of Book 1 (13 half-hour episodes) and Book 2 (13 half-hour episodes), because who needs a continuous storyline when you can just break it up into random books? 📚 Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are co-creators and executive producers, because they clearly have nothing better to do with their time 🕒. Ethan Spaulding is executive producer, and Sehaj Sethi is co-executive producer, because why not? 🤷♀️ It’s not like they’re just collecting paychecks or anything 🤑.
And, as if that’s not enough, we also have The Legend of Aang: The Last Avatar, which hits cinemas on 9th October 2026, because who doesn’t love a good live-action remake? 🎥 The cast includes Eric Nam as Aang, Jessica Matten as Katara, Roman Zaragoza as Sokka, Dionne Quan as Toph, plus Steven Yeun and Dave Bautista as the mysterious villain, because who doesn’t love a good villain? 🤡 It’s like they’re trying to collect all the Asian actors in Hollywood and put them in one movie 🎬. I mean, it’s not like they’re just trying to cash in on the Avatar franchise or anything 🤑.
