One source said the US had been picking up on some suspicious chatter about possible plans to assassinate Trump, but this warning from Israel was something new and specific.
Now, I’m no expert, but it seems like the details of this plot are still a bit fuzzy. The US isn’t entirely sure if they’d already detected it separately from the Israeli warning, but I guess that’s what makes espionage so exciting, right? It’s all about who knows what and when.
I did chuckle when I saw that the White House responded to this news by pointing to Trump’s recent comments on Iran’s desire to kill him.
