Tillis likened the situation to Trump questioning the legitimacy of the 2020 election results, which is a great point. It’s like, come on, folks, can’t we all just get along? The president needs to realize that his words have consequences, and telling people that the elections are a sham might just discourage them from voting. That’s not exactly what you want to hear when you’re trying to win an election.
