That’s right, folks!🚫 According to none other than James Gunn himself, the co-CEO of DC Studios – aka, the guy currently in charge of your childhood dreams and nightmares. Dreams probably since he did Guardians of the Galaxy, but we will see.👀
“Using Darkseid as the big bad right now is not necessarily the thing,” Gunn told some interviewer somewhere. Why, you ask? 🤔 Well, get this: “Because Zack [Snyder] did it so cool in his way. And because [of] Thanos in Marvel.” 💀
So basically, Snyder already used him (too bad, so sad!) and Marvel did it better (ouch!). What a burn! 🔥 Guess Darkseid is going back to Apokolips to cry into his Parademon stew. 🥣 Maybe he can get Steppenwolf to join him! They can cry together!
But wait, there’s more! 🤡 Gunn also got grilled about the multiverse – because every superhero universe MUST have a multiverse now, or else it’s not cool 😎 – the end of Season 2 of Peacemaker, how it will set up the next batch of stories in the DC Universe (oooooh, exciting! 🤤), what he likes about the Salvation Run comics (Salvation Run?! Really?! 🤣) and what he is bringing to HIS version of the story (as opposed to someone else’s? 😉). Oh, and he also spilled the beans about the upcoming Mr. Miracle TV show. Pilot episode is written and sitting on Gunn’s desk, waiting to be read. Bet he will read it. 😂
