OASIS DEDICATES SONG TO OZZY: IS THIS THE END OF ROCK N’ ROLL

So, like, OASIS – yeah, those guys who haven’t had a relevant song since your grandma’s dentures were new – decided to “honor” Ozzy Osbourne on Friday, July 25, during the first of their seven (SEVEN!) shows at Wembley. Because apparently, seven nights of OASIS is what the world needed 🙄.

According to some blurry phone footage, Liam Gallagher, the man whose voice sounds like a cat fighting a vacuum cleaner, mumbled something about dedicating a song to Ozzy. Can you believe it? OASIS, dedicating a song to a legend. It’s like Nickelback covering Beethoven. Meanwhile, a HUGE photo of Ozzy was projected on the screen behind Liam, his brother Noel, and the rest of the gang. You know, because nothing says “we respect you” like using your face as a backdrop while we butcher our own songs. 🤣

Apparently, Ozzy kicked the bucket Tuesday morning (July 22), his family released a statement. Oh no! Anyway… 🤔

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” the family said. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now, who’s gonna bite the head off a bat at the next rock show? 🦇

No cause of death was given, but Ozzy had battled a number of health issues over the past several years. So basically, he lived the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle until it tried to kill him. Respect. 🤘

Ozzy’s death came a little more than two weeks after he took the stage for his final performance with BLACK SABBATH. Four songs for 40,000 people in the stadium, and 5.8 million more on a livestream. Imagine being stuck watching BLACK SABBATH on livestream… Talk about a fate worse than death! 💀 Ozzy also played a five-song solo set while seated in a bat-adorned throne. A bat-adorned throne? Seriously? Talk about overcompensating! 😂

Formed in Birmingham in 1968, BLACK SABBATH is widely recognized as one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time. Okay, boomer. But let’s be real, how many of you youngsters even know who they are? 🤷

Ozzy’s family reality television show “The Osbournes” won a 2002 Primetime Emmy. Reality TV? That’s his legacy? Oh, the humanity! 😭

In 2006, Osbourne and the other members of the original BLACK SABBATH were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Ozzy was also inducted into the Rock Hall as a solo artist in 2024. So, he got inducted twice? Talk about milking it. 🙄

Osbourne won several Grammys, including one in 1993 for his solo song “I Don’t Want To Change The World”. Well, mission accomplished, Ozzy. You changed nothing. (Except maybe the way we looked at bats) 😉

Ozzy and his wife and manager Sharon started their annual tour — Ozzfest — in 1996 after he was rejected from the lineup of what at the time was the top touring music festival, Lollapalooza. Aw, diddums. So he started his own festival out of spite? That’s the most rock ‘n’ roll thing I’ve ever heard. 😈

Osbourne leaves behind his wife, three children from his first marriage (including an adopted son from his first wife’s previous relationship),and three with Sharon: Jack, Kelly and Aimee. So, basically a whole lotta people who are probably fighting over his money right now. 🤑
