HP Says They Have New Stuff or Whatever

Oh, look, it’s that time of year again when HP, bless their corporate hearts, tries to convince us that Fall is actually just a continuation of Summer. Apparently, in their world, the leaves changing color and pumpkin spice lattes are just… gaming opportunities? 🤔 Because nothing says “immersive gaming experience” like a pile of dead leaves in your yard. 🍂🍁

CGM (which, let’s be honest, probably stands for “Can’t Get Money” without these press events) attended a virtual press briefing, where some HP bigwig, Haval Othman, spewed marketing jargon like it was going out of style. “We are all gamers,” he proclaimed. Yeah, right. I bet he plays Candy Crush on his yacht. 🛥️ According to this Othman dude, HP’s design is built around a “3P Pillar framework”: Performance, Personalization, and Play. Sounds like a dating app, not a tech company. 🙄

First up, we have the OMEN Max 45L Desktop. Apparently, it’s HP’s most powerful gaming desktop… ever! Bold claim, considering they’ll probably release something “even more powerful” next week. 🙄 It’s got an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor with a max boost clock of, like, a bajillion GHz. Okay, fine, 5.7 GHz. And an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Graphics Card with 32 GB of GDDR7 Memory. Because numbers are cool, I guess? 🤷‍♂️

But wait, there’s more! It has an “industry-first, patented CRYO CHAMBER cooling system.” Sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie. 🚀 Apparently, this thingamajig isolates the heat-generating components, which leads to reducing overall internal temperature. Translation: it’s got a fancy fan. 💨 And, get this, the cooling system features an LCD screen that can be customized and personalized through the OMEN Gaming Hub. So, you can watch your CPU temperature rise in real-time? Riveting. 😐

The OMEN Max 45L will also feature “OMEN AI,” designed to use machine learning to optimize performance across the CPU. In other words, it’ll probably just download more RAM. 😂

But wait, there’s MORE! HP is also releasing two refreshed OMEN 35L Gaming Laptops. Because who needs a desktop when you can have a laptop that weighs as much as a small car? 🚗 Both will include support for an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card. The OMEN 35L Stealth Edition features a sleek and more minimalist design. Because nothing says “stealth” like RGB lighting. 🌈 As Othman joked, his wife thinks he’s always playing games because of the “flurry of RGB lighting.” Yeah, buddy, we believe you. 🤥

Now, let’s move on to the accessories. Othman showed off the newest line of HyperX Cloud wireless headsets. “Every gamer deserves gear that keeps up,” he said. Translation: “We want your money.” 💰 The HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 offers 53mm dual-chamber drivers and up to 250 hours of battery life. 250 hours? Who games for 250 hours straight? Get some sleep, people! 😴

The HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 also utilizes HyperX NGENUITY software and a reprogrammable RGB Base Station. Because nothing is more important than customizing the RGB on your headset. The HyperX Cloud Flight 2 brings a dynamic personalization experience with full RGB panels and removable earcup plates. Because who doesn’t want to customize their headset while gaming? The Official Xbox-licensed HyperX CloudX Flight 2 brings extra compatibility for Xbox gamers. Because Xbox gamers are special, I guess? 🤷‍♀️

Lastly, Othman spoke on HP’s new line of HyperX Microphones: the HyperX FlipCast and the HyperX SoloCast 2. The HyperX Flipcast is a dynamic USB and XLR microphone. It can record at a 32-bit depth, 192 kilohertz. The SoloCast 2, on the other hand, offers the same quality, but with streamlined sound and compact versatility. Because apparently, we all need studio-quality microphones to trash-talk in online games. 🎤

HP has provided the following details for pricing and availability of these products. Brace yourselves, because this is where the real comedy begins. 🤡
