‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ Trailer: Pandora’s Getting a Makeover (and It’s Not Pretty)

Avatar: Fire and Ash Trailer Drops, Proving James Cameron is Still Obsessed with Blue People. I mean, seriously, who asked for another one of these? 🙄 But hey, at least the special effects are shiny, right?

I guess this new trailer for Avatar: Fire and Ash looks “pretty darn good,” if you’re into that sort of thing. You know, the whole blue alien smurf cat thing. And apparently, the creature design is “cool,” because nothing says originality like another CGI monster. 🐉

But wait, there’s more! This trailer teases “interesting twists,” like new alliances. Because that’s totally what we were missing from the first two movies: even MORE characters to not care about. And get this, humanity might be able to breathe on Pandora without help! 🤯 What a game-changer! (Spoiler alert: it’s probably bad news for the Na’vi, because humans gonna human).

But hey, at least it’ll be good for Avatar fans, because James Cameron apparently has a never-ending supply of ideas for this epic sci-fi franchise. And unlike The Way of Water, this one only took three years to arrive! So maybe Cameron will make, like, a million more of these things before he’s done. 💸

Anyway, here’s the trailer, if you’re into that sort of thing. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. 👇

And here’s the official synopsis, because who doesn’t love a wall of text? 📜

With “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” James Cameron takes audiences back to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and the Sully family. The film, which has a screenplay by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, and a story by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver & Josh Friedman & Shane Salerno, also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, David Thewlis, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, Britain Dalton, Jamie Flatters, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Brendan Cowell, Bailey Bass, Filip Geljo, Duane Evans, Jr., and Kate Winslet.

Wow, that’s a lot of names. I’m sure they’re all very important to the plot, which I’m sure will be groundbreaking and not at all derivative. 🙄

Avatar: Fire and Ash is scheduled to open in theaters on December 19. So mark your calendars, I guess. Or don’t. I’m not your mom. 📅
