I’m sure the 12 people who still listen to rock music are just thrilled.
According to Billy Howerdel, “It’s exciting to finally get some new music out into the world, and seeing ‘Starless’ reach No. 1 at rock radio this week has made it even sweeter! More to come.” Yeah, because we were all just sitting around twiddling our thumbs waiting for more A Perfect Circle music.
The Tour: Because You Demanded It (Apparently)
A Perfect Circle will be embarking on an extensive North American tour, because of course they are. The tour will launch on April 13 in Vancouver and will feature Puscifer as support for all Canadian dates and Detroit. The Cult will join them for the remaining U.S. dates because, why not? Maynard James Keenan will apparently be pulling double duty, playing with both A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, because he’s just that cool.
Keenan says, “Very much looking forward to pulling double duty through Canada with A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. Been way, way too long. New tunes, new dance moves, new hair hats. Figure it out. #figureitout” Yeah, good luck with that, Maynard. I’m sure your 50-year-old body can handle all that rocking.
More Tour Dates Than You Can Shake a Stick At
The tour will feature a whopping 23 dates, including stops at iconic venues like Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Hollywood Bowl. Tickets go on sale on October 2, but don’t worry, there’s a pre-sale for die-hard fans who just can’t wait to spend their hard-earned cash on overpriced tickets.
The band will also be touring Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan this fall, because they just can’t get enough of being on the road. Dave Hill will be joining them for some of these dates, because why not?
A Perfect Circle was formed in 1999 by Howerdel and Keenan, and they’ve been making music and touring ever since. Their debut album “Mer De Noms” was a huge success, and they’ve been churning out albums and singles ever since. They’ve even headlined festivals and appeared on late-night TV shows, because they’re just that cool.
