So, what happened? Well, NEUROSIS played a killer setlist that included some of their most iconic tracks like “We Are Torn Wide Open”, “Mirror Deep”, and “End Of The Harvest”. And, of course, they also threw in some new material from their latest album “An Undying Love For A Burning World”, which dropped in March 2026 via Neurot Recordings. I mean, who needs a social life when you have NEUROSIS releasing new music, am I right? 🤷♂️
The Return of NEUROSIS: A New Era?
But let’s get real for a second. NEUROSIS’s return to the stage is not just a random coincidence. The band has been through a lot in the past few years, including a silent split with co-founder Scott Kelly in 2019 due to his domestic abuse and emotional manipulation. Yeah, it’s been a wild ride, folks. 🎢 Steve Von Till, the band’s vocalist and guitarist, recently opened up about the whole ordeal in an interview with The New Scene, saying that the band had to “walk away and put it on ice” to get perspective and process their emotions. The album was recorded by Scott Evans (KOWLOON WALLED CITY, SUMAC, GREAT FALLS) at Studio Litho in Seattle, and mixed in just three days at Evans’s Antisleep Audio in Oakland. I mean, who needs a lot of time to mix an album when you can do it in just three days? 🕒️ It’s like they say: “less is more”, unless you’re talking about NEUROSIS’s discography, in which case, “more is more”. 🤣
