Because apparently retirement is just a suggestion, Erasure is back with their 2027 Radio!! Radio!! Tour, and I’m shocked, shocked, that they’re not calling it a farewell tour. Yet. The band will embark on an arena tour, starting in Cardiff and making their way throughout the UK, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden, because who needs a social life when you can have a 40-date tour? And don’t worry, Vince Clarke won’t be joining Andy Bell on stage, but he’ll be pulling the strings from behind the scenes as the Musical Director, because that’s what all the cool kids are doing these days.
The Never-Ending Tour
It seems that Vince Clarke has finally found a way to balance his love of music with his love of not leaving sunny San Diego. And who can blame him? I mean, have you seen the weather forecast for the UK in April? It’s like Mother Nature is trying to tell them something. But in all seriousness, it’s great to see that Erasure has found a way to make the tour work for both Vince and Andy, even if it means that Vince gets to stay in his flip flops while Andy is out there rocking the mic.
The tour will feature special guests Ladytron, because what’s a tour without a few friends to liven things up? And with dates all over the UK, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden, fans will have plenty of opportunities to get their Erasure fix. Just don’t expect Vince to make any surprise appearances on stage, unless he’s figured out a way to teleport from San Diego.
Music to My Ears
Andy Bell has always been the charming frontman of Erasure, and his comments about Vince are as sweet as they are predictable. “Vince is one of the great loves of my life,” he gushes. Aww, isn’t that nice? It’s like they’re still in the honeymoon phase, even after all these years. But in all seriousness, it’s great to see that the two are still working together, even if they’re not always in the same room.
Tickets, Please
The general sale for tickets starts on October 2, 2026, at 10am, so set your alarms, Erasure fans! You can find all the ticket information you need on their website, along with a link to pre-order their new album, Radio!! Radio!!. Because, of course, there’s a new album to go along with the tour. It’s not like they’d just tour for the sake of touring or anything. Although, let’s be real, they probably would.
And So It Continues
The farewell tour count has officially entered scientific notation, and I’m starting to think that nobody truly retires in this industry. They merely wait for the 40th anniversary edition of their greatest hits. But hey, as long as the music keeps coming, I’m not complaining. After all, the remaster economy remains undefeated, and I’m sure we’ll see a deluxe edition of Radio!! Radio!! in no time. Somewhere, a record label executive felt a disturbance in the royalties, and a vinyl pressing plant somewhere just burst into tears. It’s just another day in the music industry, folks. Nature is healing, and another deluxe edition has appeared.
