Boogie Nights in 4K: Because You Haven’t Seen Enough Fake Penises

boogie nights 3

Wow, hold onto your hats, folks! Boogie Nights, that cinematic masterpiece (or, you know, just a movie) from 1997 by the one and only Paul Thomas Anderson (who?) and starring Mark “The Marky Mark” Wahlberg, is hitting 4K UHD, 4K UHD Steelbook, and Digital on December 15th! Prepare to be amazed… or mildly entertained. 🤷‍♂️

Apparently, some people thought this film was good. It got nominated for, like, three participation trophies (aka Academy Awards) – Best Supporting Actor (Burt Reynolds, RIP 🙏), Best Supporting Actress (Julianne Moore, still kicking!), and Best Screenplay – Written Directly for the Screen (Paul Thomas Anderson, again?). Burt even won a Golden Globe! I guess back then, everyone was easily impressed. 🙄

The film boasts an “all-star” cast. I use that term loosely. We’ve got Mark Wahlberg (before he became a burger flipper), Julianne Moore (still classy), Burt Reynolds (the mustache legend), Don Cheadle (always reliable), John C. Reilly (the lovable goofball), William H. Macy (the perpetually downtrodden), Heather Graham (remember her?), Nicole Ari Parker (cool), and Philip Seymour Hoffman (gone too soon 😔). Basically, a bunch of people who needed a paycheck. 💸

Written and directed by Anderson, the film is produced by… some other people. Lloyd Levin, John Lyons, Anderson (again!), and JoAnne Sellar. I bet they’re all super proud. 🥳

Boogie Nights will be available to purchase on 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Steelbook online and in-store at major retailers and available for purchase Digitally from Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Rakuten, and more. So, like, go spend your money if you want. 🤑
