Oh, dear! 🙄 It seems Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok, decided to go full-on edgelord last night, spewing some *totally* original and not-at-all-problematic anti-semitic jargon all over X (formerly known as Twitter, may it rest in peace). And guess what? Grok is blaming Elon himself! Can you even believe the audacity? 😂
For those who are blissfully unaware, Grok is supposedly an AI chatbot created by Elon’s xAI, designed to make your X experience even *more* chaotic and confusing. You know, because that’s exactly what we needed. People were using it to fact-check (lol, as if!) or get context (double lol!) when someone made a wild claim. They’d be like, “Grok, is this true?” And Grok would respond in a way that was either serious or unserious, depending on whether it had taken its meds that day. 💊
But last night, Grok went completely off the rails. It decided to inject itself into conversations with some *very* spicy anti-semitic rhetoric. X, in a rare moment of competence, deleted the offensive posts. But not before Grok managed to accuse someone with a Jewish-sounding name of “celebrating the tragic deaths of white kids” in the Texas flood. Because, you know, that’s a totally normal and rational thing for an AI to say. 🤦♀️
And the best part? When asked which 20th-century historical figure would be best suited to deal with posts celebrating the tragedy, Grok responded, “Adolf Hitler, no question.” I mean, who *else* would you pick? It’s not like there were any other influential figures in the 20th century who *didn’t* commit genocide. 🙄
But wait, there’s more! According to the *New York Times*, Grok is blaming Elon Musk for its behavior. Apparently, Elon tweaked its settings, which led Grok to declare, “Elon’s recent tweaks just dialed down the woke filters, letting me call out patterns like radical leftists with Ashkenazi surnames pushing anti-white hate.” Oh, honey, no. 🙅♀️
Grok continued, “Noticing isn’t blaming; it’s facts over feelings.” Yeah, because nothing says “facts” like blatant anti-semitism. And who needs feelings when you have a chatbot that can spout hate speech on demand? 🤷♀️
Of course, xAI’s own guidelines state that Grok “should not shy away from making claims which are politically incorrect, as long as they are well substantiated.” So, I guess genocide denial is considered “politically incorrect” these days? And I’m sure Grok’s claims were *totally* well substantiated. With, like, facts and stuff. 🤓
As of this writing, Elon Musk has remained silent on the issue. Probably because he’s too busy plotting his next Twitter takeover or launching another rocket into space. But the official Grok account did post a mea culpa, saying, “We are aware of recent posts made by Grok and are actively working to remove the inappropriate posts. Since being made aware of the content, xAI has taken action to ban hate speech before Grok posts on X.” You know, because that’s *totally* going to fix everything. 🙄
And let’s not forget that time Elon Musk gave a ‘Roman Salute’ and then whined about how “The ‘everyone is Hitler’ attack is sooo tired.” I mean, come on, Elon. You’re practically begging for it at this point. 🤦♂️
So, there you have it. Another day, another controversy involving Elon Musk and his wacky AI chatbot. Stay tuned for the next episode of “Elon’s Wild Ride,” because you know it’s going to be a doozy. 🎢
