Get ready to flush your money down the digital toilet🚽! Scopely, in its infinite wisdom (or maybe just infinite greed🤑), is dropping the “Fantastic Force Showcase” event in Marvel Strike Force, starting July 21, 2025, just in time to “celebrate” the premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Because what better way to honor a potentially awful movie than by squeezing more cash out of mobile gamers?💰💰💰
As if anyone actually cares about The Fantastic Four: First Steps (seriously, another reboot?🙄), Marvel Strike Force is unleashing a four-week-long…thing… on July 21. Prepare to be overwhelmed with “content,” which mainly consists of doing the same repetitive tasks for digital trinkets and the chance to unlock Mister Fantastic (MCU) and Invisible Woman (MCU) – because those are the characters you’ve been clamoring for, right? 🤣 Oh, and don’t worry, they’re “updating” The Thing and The Human Torch so they don’t feel left out while you’re busy spending all your resources on the new shiny characters. 💅
For those poor souls still trapped in the endless grind of Marvel Strike Force, it’s a turn-based RPG where you collect heroes and villains to fight in 5v5 battles. Sounds exciting? Think again. It’s a hamster wheel of unlocking outfits, upgrading your team, completing challenges, and, of course, expanding your roster by desperately chasing character shards. A true test of patience and wallet depth, not skill. 🤡
To “celebrate” the Fantastic Force Showcase, Scopely will generously release six missions each week for four weeks. But here’s the catch (because there’s ALWAYS a catch):
Week 1: Fantastic Four (MCU) or Hero Character. (AKA, use the characters we want you to spend money on, or some other character you already leveled up ages ago.)
Week 2: Fantastic Four (MCU) or City Character. (Time to dust off those old Spider-Man characters you never use!)
Week 3: Fantastic Four (MCU) or Global Character. (Because who DOESN’T love Captain America?)
Week 4: Fantastic Four (MCU) or Cosmic Character. (If you haven’t quit by now, you’re probably a Kraken anyway.)
If you’re craving a “challenging experience” (read: frustratingly difficult and designed to make you spend money), you can try the Baxter Building Tower event starting July 24. You’ll need your Fantastic Four characters to be at least level 25+ for Tower 1 and a whopping level 85+ for Tower 2. Because nothing says “fun” like needing to max out your characters just to participate. 💀
But wait, there’s more! 🤩 Mister Fantastic (MCU) and Invisible Woman (MCU) are joining the roster. Mister Fantastic can put Barriers on everyone, and Invisible Woman will attack the most injured enemy for Piercing Damage before going invisible. Groundbreaking gameplay, truly revolutionary. 🙄
And because they’re feeling extra generous, The Thing and The Human Torch are getting MCU costume redesigns! Because that’s what everyone REALLY wanted, right? Not balanced gameplay or meaningful content, but new outfits! 🎉 They’ll also receive a “new update” to help them keep up with the power creep, which means they’ll be slightly less useless for a brief period before Scopely power creeps them again. 🤪
But wait, there’s EVEN MORE! 🎁 Prepare for a deluge of content and rewards, including:
Danger Room – A roguelike mode for earning high scores and rewards. (Because roguelike elements in a gacha game are definitely a match made in heaven.)
Baxter Building – Battle with your Fantastic Four team for a CHANCE to earn 100 Invisible Woman (MCU) shards. (Good luck with that. You’ll probably get mostly training modules.)
Command Center – Visit to claim rewards, including Legendary shards. (More digital confetti!)
Showcase Campaign – Use the new Fantastic Four (MCU) characters and earn rewards. (Remember, it’s all about pushing the new characters!)
Showcase Challenges – Test the new Fantastic Four (MCU) team and increase your rewards. (More repetitive tasks, yay!)
Daily Rewards – Log in daily for rewards. (Because Scopely knows you’re addicted.)
Promo Code “FOUR” – Use the code to unlock the original Fantastic Four team for FREE! (A desperate attempt to make you think they care.)
So there you have it. Another event in Marvel Strike Force designed to drain your wallet and waste your time. But hey, at least you get to see The Thing in a new costume, right? 🤡
If you’re still reading this and haven’t uninstalled the game yet, Marvel Strike Force is available on iOS and Android. And don’t forget to mark your calendars for The Fantastic Four: First Steps on July 25, 2025. Maybe it’ll be good, but let’s be real, you’re probably better off rewatching the Incredibles. 😉
