“Soon,” Says Sakurai About *Kirby Air Ride* Info, So Get Hyped (Maybe)

OMG! 😱 The Nintendo Switch 2 (yes, TWO!) is getting ALL the EXCLUSIVES! 🤩 First, we got blessed with Donkey Kong Bananza (which, let’s be real, is just DK but with a tan 🙄) and the revolutionary Drag x Drive (Cars, but make it JDM 🔥). But hold your horses (or should I say, Warp Stars ✨), because the REAL news is about the game you’ve ALL been waiting for: Kirby Air Riders! 💖 Just kidding… unless? 🤔

So, apparently, Sakurai-sama himself (bow down, peasants 🙏) dropped a hint on X (formerly Twitter, because Elon 🤡) that we might see some gameplay of Kirby Air Riders soon™️. Yes, “soon,” the magical word that game developers use to keep us on the edge of our seats… for years! 🤣

But wait, it gets better! 😜 This whole thing is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sora Ltd., Sakurai’s “company.” And by “company,” I mean him and his wife running things from their basement. 🤣 Goals! 💯 Seriously though, kudos to them for making bank while we’re all stuck in corporate hell. 🫡

Now, let’s talk about these “major gaming events” where we might see Kirby Air Riders. We’ve got Gamescom, PAX West, and Tokyo Game Show. 😴😴😴 Wake me up when Nintendo actually shows something INTERESTING. Like, I don’t know, Mother 3 finally coming to the West? 🤔 (Don’t get your hopes up, it’s never happening. 😭) Or maybe F-Zero GX remake? 🤡

And get this: Nintendo’s OWN WEBSITE still lists Kirby Air Riders for a 2025 release! 😂😂😂 Like, are they serious? Do they even know what year it is? 🤪 I’m calling it now: this game is either getting delayed into oblivion or it’s going to be a buggy mess on release. 🐛 Either way, I’m here for the drama! 🍿

Oh, and did you know that Sakurai LEFT HAL Laboratory to form Sora? 💔 Talk about a plot twist! Bet the HAL guys are still salty about that. 🧂🧂🧂 But hey, at least he gets to boss his wife around now. Relationship goals? 🚩

But seriously, if you’re actually interested in game design (nerd alert 🤓), Sakurai’s YouTube channel is surprisingly insightful. Like, who knew the guy behind Smash Bros. actually had a brain? 🧠 (Just kidding, Sakurai-sama, please don’t ban me from your game. 🥺)

So yeah, Kirby Air Riders is “coming” to the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025. Maybe. Probably not. But hey, at least we have something to argue about on the internet. ⌨️🔥 Let the speculation BEGIN! 😈
