DETHKLOK’s Concert In Milwaukee Cut Short Because Who Needs That Much Eyeliner Anyway And Also The Fire Alarms Went Off From All The Pretentiousness

Oh boy, what a night it was! 🀣 The infamous DETHKLOK concert on Saturday, May 16 at Landmark Credit Union Live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin was cut short, but not because the crowd was bored out of their minds 😴, nope! It was because the fire alarms decided to join the party and started blaring away 🚨, probably because they wanted to be part of the heavy metal action 🀘! The smoke and fog effects were so epic that they tripped the fire alarms, and the show had to be stopped πŸ›‘. Can you believe it? πŸ€‘

So, after the co-headliners AMON AMARTH and openers CASTLE RAT performed without any issues πŸ™Œ, DETHKLOK took the stage and was about halfway through its set at the 4,500-person-capacity venue 🏟️ when the drama unfolded πŸŒͺ️. The smoke alarms went off, lights went out, and sound was cut 🎧, leaving the crowd in the dark, literally and figuratively πŸ€”. We mean, who needs music when you can have a good ol’ fashioned fire alarm party πŸŽ‰?

Brendon Small, the mastermind behind DETHKLOK, was all like “yeah, no big deal, guys, we’ll make it right” πŸ™„, and shared an Instagram story saying: “Thanks for your cooperation at tonight’s show. Since the show ended early, we’re working with the venue to make this right for you. Ticket holders will receive an email with more information soon” πŸ“§. Yeah, because that’s exactly what the fans wanted, an email πŸ“§, not an epic metal show 🀘!

Anyway, DETHKLOK and AMON AMARTH’s “The Amonklok Conquest” tour kicked off on April 15 in Phoenix and is scheduled to run through May 21 in Las Vegas πŸ—ΊοΈ, with CASTLE RAT providing support 🀝. The tour has hit cities like Houston, Brooklyn, Toronto, Detroit, and Denver πŸŒ†, and is making two festival stops for both co-headliners at Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple 🎟️. Yeah, because one DETHKLOK show isn’t enough, you need to see them twice, or maybe three times, or… πŸ€‘

The real-life lineup for the fictional “Metalocalypse” band consists of Brendon Small on guitar and vocals 🎸, legendary extreme metal drummer Gene Hoglan (DEATH, DARK ANGEL, TESTAMENT) 🀯, bassist Pete Griffin (Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Zakk Wylde) 🎸, and guitar shredder Nili Brosh (Danny Elfman) 🎸. Yeah, talk about a dream team 🀩!

The “Metalocalypse” cartoon series is all about a fictional death metal band called DETHKLOK that’s bigger (and far more powerful) than THE BEATLES 🀣, because who needs the Beatles when you have DETHKLOK πŸ™„? The show ran for seven seasons, with the final episode being an hour-long rock opera, “The Doomstar Requiem” 🎭.

After “Metalocalypse” rose in popularity, Brendon Small assembled DETHKLOK as an actual live band to play the music featured on the show 🎸, because why not? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ DETHKLOK’s first three albums charted in the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 πŸ“Š, and the third release, “Dethalbum III”, peaked at No. 10, making it the highest-charting death metal album of all time 🀯.

DETHKLOK returned in 2023 with a new album, “Dethalbum IV” 🎸, and an animated movie, “Metalocalypse: Army Of The Doomstar” πŸŽ₯. Yeah, because the world was missing some DETHKLOK action 🀣! The band’s 2023 “Babyklok” co-headlining trek with BABYMETAL was the first DETHKLOK tour in over a decade 🀝, and we can’t wait to see what’s next πŸ€”.
