DETHKLOK’s Concert In Milwaukee Cut Short Because Who Needs That Much Eyeliner Anyway And Also The Fire Alarms Went Off From All The Pretentiousness

Oh boy, what a night it was! ๐Ÿคฃ The infamous DETHKLOK concert on Saturday, May 16 at Landmark Credit Union Live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin was cut short, but not because the crowd was bored out of their minds ๐Ÿ˜ด, nope! It was because the fire alarms decided to join the party and started blaring away ๐Ÿšจ, probably because they wanted to be part of the heavy metal action ๐Ÿค˜! The smoke and fog effects were so epic that they tripped the fire alarms, and the show had to be stopped ๐Ÿ›‘. Can you believe it? ๐Ÿค‘

So, after the co-headliners AMON AMARTH and openers CASTLE RAT performed without any issues ๐Ÿ™Œ, DETHKLOK took the stage and was about halfway through its set at the 4,500-person-capacity venue ๐ŸŸ๏ธ when the drama unfolded ๐ŸŒช๏ธ. The smoke alarms went off, lights went out, and sound was cut ๐ŸŽง, leaving the crowd in the dark, literally and figuratively ๐Ÿค”. We mean, who needs music when you can have a good ol’ fashioned fire alarm party ๐ŸŽ‰?

Brendon Small, the mastermind behind DETHKLOK, was all like “yeah, no big deal, guys, we’ll make it right” ๐Ÿ™„, and shared an Instagram story saying: “Thanks for your cooperation at tonight’s show. Since the show ended early, we’re working with the venue to make this right for you. Ticket holders will receive an email with more information soon” ๐Ÿ“ง. Yeah, because that’s exactly what the fans wanted, an email ๐Ÿ“ง, not an epic metal show ๐Ÿค˜!

Anyway, DETHKLOK and AMON AMARTH’s “The Amonklok Conquest” tour kicked off on April 15 in Phoenix and is scheduled to run through May 21 in Las Vegas ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ, with CASTLE RAT providing support ๐Ÿค. The tour has hit cities like Houston, Brooklyn, Toronto, Detroit, and Denver ๐ŸŒ†, and is making two festival stops for both co-headliners at Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ. Yeah, because one DETHKLOK show isn’t enough, you need to see them twice, or maybe three times, or… ๐Ÿค‘

The real-life lineup for the fictional “Metalocalypse” band consists of Brendon Small on guitar and vocals ๐ŸŽธ, legendary extreme metal drummer Gene Hoglan (DEATH, DARK ANGEL, TESTAMENT) ๐Ÿคฏ, bassist Pete Griffin (Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Zakk Wylde) ๐ŸŽธ, and guitar shredder Nili Brosh (Danny Elfman) ๐ŸŽธ. Yeah, talk about a dream team ๐Ÿคฉ!

The “Metalocalypse” cartoon series is all about a fictional death metal band called DETHKLOK that’s bigger (and far more powerful) than THE BEATLES ๐Ÿคฃ, because who needs the Beatles when you have DETHKLOK ๐Ÿ™„? The show ran for seven seasons, with the final episode being an hour-long rock opera, “The Doomstar Requiem” ๐ŸŽญ.

After “Metalocalypse” rose in popularity, Brendon Small assembled DETHKLOK as an actual live band to play the music featured on the show ๐ŸŽธ, because why not? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ DETHKLOK’s first three albums charted in the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 ๐Ÿ“Š, and the third release, “Dethalbum III”, peaked at No. 10, making it the highest-charting death metal album of all time ๐Ÿคฏ.

DETHKLOK returned in 2023 with a new album, “Dethalbum IV” ๐ŸŽธ, and an animated movie, “Metalocalypse: Army Of The Doomstar” ๐ŸŽฅ. Yeah, because the world was missing some DETHKLOK action ๐Ÿคฃ! The band’s 2023 “Babyklok” co-headlining trek with BABYMETAL was the first DETHKLOK tour in over a decade ๐Ÿค, and we can’t wait to see what’s next ๐Ÿค”.
