Wow, you guys, the most epic thing just happened – SEVENDUST released a new album called “One” and it’s literally going to change the world 🌎🎸! I mean, who needs food, water, or oxygen when you have SEVENDUST’s fifteenth studio album, right? 🤣 The band’s frontman, Lajon Witherspoon, spoke with LA Lloyd, the nationally syndicated radio host for the “LA Lloyd Rock 30”, and basically confirmed that they’re all one big happy family 🤩.

Asked about the significance of the album title, Lajon said: “Man, it means so many things. I would like for people to grasp it and understand it for themselves. But ‘one’ for me is that we all are one 🌈. Not only SEVENDUST, and we’ve come back to this and we’re closer than we’ve ever been at the old age that we are, and we’re still relevant, if that’s the word, in this industry, but we all are one 👫. Even in this united, divided world that we live in, we are one and we are all unbreakable, too 💪.” Yeah, because that’s exactly what the world needs – more cheesiness 🧀.

During the same chat, Lajon was asked what has kept him and his bandmates together for more than 30 years, and his response was basically: “I don’t know, man, maybe it’s the fact that we’re all secretly married to each other 🤵‍♀️”. Just kidding, but he did say that they’ve been through everything together, including divorces, deaths, breakups, remarriages, and even “So-and-so’s sick. Oh, God” 🤒. So, if there’s anyone closer, it’s them, and they really understand each other 🤝. Lajon also mentioned that they’ve always made sure that everything is equal, so no one person is riding a scooter while the others are flying in on helicopters with submarines tied to the bottom 🚁🛩️. Because, you know, that would be super unfair 🙄.

SEVENDUST once again worked with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette on “One”, because why change a good thing, right? 🤷‍♂️. The album was recorded at Studio Barbarosa in Gotha, Florida, which is probably a super cool place with lots of palm trees and sunshine 🌴. Baskette has previously worked with other big-name bands like ALTER BRIDGE and Slash, so you know they’re in good hands 🎸. The writing sessions for the new album took place at Lajon’s farmhouse, because what’s more metal than writing songs about unity and togetherness on a farm 🐓?

SEVENDUST recently went on tour in support of “One”, because they love their fans and want to play their new music for them 🎶. The U.S. headline tour kicked off in April and ran through May, with support from ATREYU, FIRE FROM THE GODS, and AMERICAN ADRENALINE 🤘. They also opened for ALTER BRIDGE at two special U.S. dates, because who doesn’t love a good opening act 🎤? Additionally, SEVENDUST appeared at major festivals like Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple, because they’re basically rockstars now 🤩.

So, what are you waiting for? Go listen to SEVENDUST’s new album “One” and experience the unity and togetherness for yourself 🎧. And don’t forget to follow them on social media, because they’re basically the coolest band ever 📱. Photo credit: Chuck Brueckmann, who probably took the most epic photo of the band ever 📸. And if you’re feeling extra adventurous, you can even watch their music video on YouTube 📹. Happy listening, and remember – we’re all one 🌎! 💖
