Because apparently we haven’t milked this franchise enough yet, Game Science is taking the Black Myth: Wukong show on the road with a global concert tour. And by “show” I mean a bunch of symphonic orchestration and Chinese folk music that will no doubt make you feel like you’re embarking on an “unprecedented epic adventure.” I mean, who needs actual gameplay when you can just listen to the soundtrack, right? The Black Myth: Wukong Global Concert Tour has already featured five shows in Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Changsha, but on July 7, 2026, the show will hit North America for the first time at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California. I’m sure the PS2 memory card community is just thrilled to hear that the concert has been produced with Poly Performing Arts and will hit a total of 12 cities with 21 performances.
The Concert Experience
Attendees can expect a “Journey to the West” with a description of the show reading, “Featuring selected in-game music, it intertwines symphonic orchestration with Chinese folk music to score an unprecedented epic adventure.” Yeah, because that’s exactly what I want to do with my Saturday night – listen to a bunch of music from a game I may or may not have played. And don’t even get me started on the ticket prices, which range from $89.43 to $196.77, depending on how much swag you want to get with your ticket. Speaking of swag, each ticket tier comes with an array of gifts, including a commemorative ticket stub, a mystery bag with a random character ring or pin, and even a t-shirt or collectible figure if you’re feeling fancy.
Ticket Prices and Perks
Let’s break down the ticket prices and perks, shall we? For $89.43, you get a standard ticket with a commemorative ticket stub, a mystery bag with a random character ring, and a mystery bag with a random pin. For $111.11 or $132.78, you get a deluxe ticket with all the standard perks plus a mystery t-shirt. And for $164.78 or $196.77, you get a premium ticket with all the deluxe perks plus a collectible figure. I mean, it’s not like you’re actually getting a good deal or anything, but hey, at least you’ll have some cool swag to show off to your friends.
Upcoming Shows
While several dates have already passed, the Black Myth: Wukong Global Concert Tour still has many upcoming shows, including stops in Los Angeles, Guangzhou, New York, Beijing, Chengdu, Taipei, Singapore, and Bangkok. And if you’re in Berlin, don’t worry, a show is coming soon (whatever that means). You can find out more about the tour at the official concert site or stay up to date with Game Science and the upcoming Black Myth: Zhong Kui at their official site. Some executive somewhere got a bonus for this, I’m sure. Another day, another roadmap, and another way for Game Science to make some cash off their franchise. Nature is healing, indeed. Shareholders rejoice! Live-service enthusiasts are no doubt thrilled to hear about the concert tour, and are probably already planning their outfits for the show. At this point, even the loading screens have lore, so I’m sure the concert will be a real treat for fans of the game.
