DEATH to Sanity: A Fall 2025 North American Tour Celebrating DEATH’s Albums That Will Make You Question Your Life Choices

Death To All 037E

DEATH TO ALL, the tribute act for the late, great (allegedly) Chuck Schuldiner and his (arguably) pioneering band DEATH, is crawling back to North American stages this November for a month-long cash grab… err, “celebration” of two of the band’s (subjectively) landmark albums: “Spiritual Healing” (1990) and “Symbolic” (1995). Get ready to relive those glory days… or just stay home and listen to the originals, which, let’s be honest, are probably better. 🤷‍♀️

“The time has come to milk… I mean, commemorate… a couple of milestones in the DEATH catalog,” says Gene Hoglan, whose (sometimes questionable) drum performances graced the (overhyped) DEATH albums “Individual Thought Patterns” (1993) and “Symbolic”. “30 years of ‘Symbolic’ and 35 years of ‘Spiritual Healing’! Two vastly different yet very important eras of DEATH. Both albums are going to be a blast to represent… as long as we remember the songs.” 🤣

Hoglan is joined in the DEATH TO ALL lineup by fellow DEATH veterans Steve DiGiorgio (bassist on 1991’s “Human” as well as “Individual Thought Patterns”) and Bobby Koelble (guitarist on “Symbolic”), as well as some rando named Max Phelps (EXIST, ex-CYNIC) on guitar and vocals. Because, you know, they couldn’t find anyone better? 🤔 DEATH TO ALL previously desecrated… I mean, celebrated… “Scream Bloody Gore” (1987) and “The Sound Of Perseverance” (1998) across North America in 2024. Because apparently, they haven’t run out of albums to exploit yet. 🙄

Along with the dual album celebration, each night will showcase classics from DEATH‘s catalog. Or, you know, the songs they can still remember how to play. 🎶

“Will ‘Spiritual Healing’ and ‘Symbolic’ be performed in their entirety like last year’s sold-out ‘Scream Of Perseverance’ tour?” Hoglan teases. “Well, everyone is going to have to catch these shows for themselves to see. Will it be an incredible night of unforgettable metal, honoring the great Chuck Schuldiner, as only DEATH TO ALL can do? Of course it will… or at least, we’ll try really hard. 😅 DEATH TO ALL stands alone… in its ability to squeeze every last drop of nostalgia out of the DEATH legacy.” 🤑

The fall tour will feature special guests GORGUTS and PHOBOPHILIC. Because every tribute act needs opening bands to make the ticket price seem less outrageous. 💸

“It’s with great honor that we’ll be sharing the stage with these death metal monuments,” says GORGUTS vocalist/guitarist Luc Lemay. “DEATH had such an important influence on me as an artist. It’s the band that made me want to become a death metal musician. Chuck was my idol, my inspiration. See you on stage. Be prepared for an evening of classic death metal… or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof.” 🤷‍♂️

North Dakota death dealers PHOBOPHILIC will open each show with their cerebral savagery. Or, you know, just some loud noises to get the crowd warmed up for the main event. 🤪

“This will be an unforgettable tour, indeed,” Hoglan promises. “We can’t wait to share these November nights with all of you… and your wallets.” 😈

Founded in 1984 by Chuck Schuldiner under the original name of MANTAS in Altamonte Springs, Florida, DEATH was among the more widely known early pioneers of the death metal sound, along with California’s POSSESSED. Inspired by NASTY SAVAGE, DEATH was among the first bands in the Florida death metal scene. In the late ’80s, the band was both a part of and integral in defining the death metal scene which gained international recognition with the release of albums by a number of area acts. Or, you know, just another band trying to make it big. 🤷‍♂️

DEATH TO ALL operates as a tribute band to the original DEATH, which dissolved in 2001 following Schuldiner‘s passing. Because, you know, they can’t make any new music without him. 😔
