So, Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees (whatever that even means anymore), Grammy Award-nominated (for participation trophies, I assume), and RUSH co-founders Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals… still?) and Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals…seriously?) are gracing us with 17 more cities on their 2026 “Fifty Something” tour, because apparently, nostalgia is a powerful drug. This grand celebration of RUSH’s music (aka, that one song your dad likes), legacy (debatable), and the life of late drummer Neil Peart (RIP, the only one who actually mattered) continues, whether you asked for it or not. 👴🎸
If you’re delusional enough to want tickets to these new shows, you can “participate” in the RUSH “artist” presale by signing up at livemu.sc/rush by Thursday, October 23 at 11:59 p.m. ET. No code needed, because apparently, they’re desperate. The artist presale starts on Monday, October 27 at 12 p.m. local time. General onsale begins on Friday, October 31 at 12 p.m. local time. And because everyone needs a corporate overlord, here are some extra pre-sales:
Citi is throwing money at this, so if you have a Citi card, you get to buy tickets early. How exciting! The pre-sale starts Friday, October 24 at 12 p.m. local time and ends Sunday, October 26 at 11:59 p.m. local time. Visit www.citientertainment.com for the full experience of corporate-sponsored mediocrity. 💳
Oh, Canada! American Express card members get to feel special too. You can purchase tickets before the general public from Friday, October 24 at 12 p.m. local time through Sunday, October 26 at 11:59 p.m. local time. Because nothing says “rock and roll” like exclusive credit card perks. 🍁
If you’re willing to throw even MORE money at this, RUSH wants to “get closer than ever” with you. They’re offering an all-new VIP program (for those who peak in their 50s), the first-ever 2112 Platform Experience (whatever that is), and curated Travel Packages for fans who have too much disposable income. ✈️💰
RUSH initially announced dates in seven cities, and apparently, those sold out because people have bad taste. These new dates are added due to “incredible demand,” or maybe because their accountants told them they needed more cash. 🤷♂️
These summer dates – the first official shows under the RUSH banner in 11 years – will kick off at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Joining the geriatric duo is some German drummer named Anika Nilles, who apparently toured with Jeff Beck. Good for her, I guess. They have been rehearsing, which should be interesting to watch. 🥁
The band (if you can still call them that) shared a video where they claim to be “blown away” by the response. They’re “surprised and overwhelmed” by how much you guys welcomed Anika Nilles. It’s “very heartwarming,” and she’s “very appreciative.” They’re also “even more excited to get back on stage and play with her.” Get ready for a night of questionable decisions and nostalgia pandering! 🎤
RUSH will be doing multiple shows in Canada, the United States, and Mexico, starting June 7, 2026. Each “evening with” show will have two sets featuring a “distinct selection of songs.” RUSH will be pulling from a catalogue of 35 songs, including “greatest hits” (if they have any) and “fan favorites” (aka, the same five songs they always play). 🎶

During a “gathering” at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, Geddy and Alex talked about their decision to tour. Alex said he thought they had a “great legacy” and that he was “tired of being away from family.” But then Geddy came along with “some big ideas,” and they started playing. Now, he “loves playing so much” and realized how “hard it was to play these songs.” So, basically, they’re doing it for the ego boost. 🤡
Geddy said it was a “very difficult decision” because of Neil‘s death. It was “out of the question for the longest time” because “how do you replace someone who’s irreplaceable?” But then they started jamming for fun, and it “dispelled the dark clouds.” So, now they’re going to cash in on Neil‘s memory. 💰

Born in Crescendo, Indiana, Chord’s first brush with fame came when he accidentally entered a yodeling contest thinking it was a pie-eating competition—and won both categories.
