Oh boy, are you guys ready for some epic news? 🤩 THE PRETTY RECKLESS frontwoman Taylor Momsen just spilled the beans in a new interview with Thomas Moser of Germany’s Rock Antenne, and let me tell you, it’s a wild ride 🎢! She’s all about keeping it real, folks, and by real, I mean no backing tracks or click tracks in their live performances 🙅‍♀️. Like, who needs perfection when you can have a little imperfection, am I right? 🤷‍♀️ It’s all about capturing that authentic performance, because, as Taylor so eloquently put it, “the computer is simply a tape machine; it is simply recording” 📹. Yeah, no fancy editing or fixing stuff in post-production, just pure, unadulterated rock ‘n’ roll 🤟!

She went on to say that playing music with her friends (aka the rest of the band) is, like, super fun 🎉, and that there’s no production, no tracks, no click track – just four people on stage, rocking out 🤘. Every night’s different, and it’s exciting, she claims 🎊. I mean, who doesn’t love a good surprise, right? 🤔 And let’s be real, folks, this approach is so rare nowadays because everyone’s all about aiming for perfection 💁‍♀️. But Taylor’s all, “Nah, perfection is overrated” 🙅‍♀️. The magic’s in the imperfection, baby! ✨

Thomas Moser pointed out that THE PRETTY RECKLESS must have, like, a thousand young fans who come up to them and say, “Hey, your music is so raw and stripped down, we love it!” 🤩. And Taylor’s all, “Uh, yeah, I never thought of it that way, but our fans are pretty cool, I guess” 😂. They just did a small club show in London, and it was, like, super fun, and they played all their hits 🎸. Taylor’s all about making albums, not just singles, because she’s old school like that 📀. She wants to tell a story, and you can’t do that with just one song, folks 📚.

Anyway, enough about that, because THE PRETTY RECKLESS’s fifth studio album, “Dear God”, is dropping on June 26 via Fearless Records 📆. And, of course, they’re going on tour, because what’s a new album without a tour, am I right? 🚌 They’ll be hitting up North America and Europe, and it’s gonna be, like, totally epic 🤯. They just got done touring with AC/DC, and now they’re back with their own headlining tour 🎉. This follows a pretty cool year for the band, including an performance at the MusiCares Person Of The Year Gala, where Taylor honored Mariah Carey alongside the FOO FIGHTERS 🎤. They also performed at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, where Taylor performed with SOUNDGARDEN for their induction 🎸. And, oh yeah, they released a holiday EP, “Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas”, which was, like, super festive 🎄. The lead single, “Where Are You Christmas?”, hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, because, why not? 🤷‍♀️ It’s not like it’s a competition or anything 🏆.
