POST MALONE, SLASH, DUFF MCKAGAN And CHAD SMITH Unite To Do A Half-Decent Impression Of OZZY OSBOURNE At The 2026 GRAMMYs

Oh great, another Grammy tribute, because what the world really needs is more middle-aged men in leather jackets pretending they still feel alive.

So, Post Malone is about to team up with GUNS N’ ROSES’ Slash and Duff McKagan, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS’ Chad Smith, and producer Andrew Watt for a “special tribute” to the late, great Ozzy Osbourne at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Yes, because nothing says “we honor the Prince of Darkness” like throwing a pop rapper, a chili pepper drummer, and a guy who looks like he’s permanently stuck in a 1990s Hard Rock Café ad together on one stage. 🥴💀

The ceremony will be hosted by Trevor Noah, who’s probably already rehearsing his jokes about how Ozzy bit more heads off than the Recording Academy’s editing team. It airs live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 1, because apparently, even the afterlife isn’t safe from crypto sponsorships. You can catch it on CBS or stream it on Paramount+ if you’re one of those people who pay for TV twice just to feel culturally relevant.

For those who forgot, the Grammys are supposedly the “only peer-recognized accolade in music.” That’s like saying your mom’s Facebook likes are the only real measure of your self-worth. The Recording Academy’s voting body includes everyone from recording artists to producers to engineers, which is a polite way of saying, “We let everyone vote, but somehow Taylor Swift still wins everything.”

Fulwell Entertainment is producing this circus, with Ben Winston, Raj Kapoor, Jesse Collins, and Trevor Noah as executive producers. If you’re wondering why this lineup sounds like a corporate retreat gone wrong, you’re not alone.

Now, let’s talk about Ozzy. His death certificate says he died of a heart attack on July 22, 2025, after battling coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s. Classic Ozzy—leaving this world with the same chaotic energy he brought to it. His funeral was a private affair on the 250-acre estate he and Sharon bought in 1993, because even in death, Ozzy needed space for his bat collection. Only 110 close friends and family attended, including Robert Trujillo (METALLICA), Rob Zombie, Zakk Wylde, Marilyn Manson, and Corey Taylor (SLIPKNOT). Basically, the guest list was a who’s who of people who’ve all, at some point, been accused of stealing Ozzy’s vibe.

The day before the funeral, thousands of fans flooded Birmingham to pay tribute. Sharon and their kids—Aimée, Kelly, and Jack—joined the emotional gathering, proving once again that the Osbournes are the only family who can turn grief into a public spectacle and somehow make it work.

Seven months before his passing, Ozzy reunited with BLACK SABBATH’s original lineup—Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—for the “Back To The Beginning” charity concert in Birmingham. It was his final performance, and honestly, it was as dramatic as you’d expect. Ozzy sat on a black throne (because of course he did) and performed five solo songs before being joined by his old bandmates for classics like “War Pigs,” “Iron Man,” “N.I.B.,” and “Paranoid.” His solo set included tracks from his 1980 debut *Blizzard of Ozz* and the 1991 ballad “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” which he probably dedicated to anyone who’s ever survived a night with him.

At one point, Ozzy told the crowd, “You have no idea how I feel. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.” And honestly, we don’t. None of us will ever truly understand what it’s like to be Ozzy Osbourne—the man who turned bat-biting into a career and made “crazy” a lifestyle. 🦇🤘
