The movie is set in Poland in 1981, because, you know, the 80s were just so cool 😎. Manville plays a British professor who gets swept up in some “extraordinary and dangerous events” at the onset of Martial Law era. Wow, I bet you can’t wait to see what kind of trouble she gets into 🤔.
But wait, it gets even better! The film is directed by Kasia Adamik, because who doesn’t love a good Polish name? 🇵🇱 And the screenplay is written by Sandra Buchta, based on the short story “Professor Andrews Goes to Warsaw” by Olga Tokarczuk. I mean, who comes up with these titles? 😂 It sounds like a joke, right? “Hey, I’m going to write a story about a professor who goes to Warsaw, and it’s going to be so exciting!” 🤣.
