I mean, who needs a tiger when you have aliens, right? 🙄
The police chief, Bum-seok, is all like “what’s going on?” and running around like a headless chicken, while his cousin, Sung-ki, is all cool and collected, like a total boss. 🙃 The action scenes are insane, with bodies flying everywhere and cars crashing left and right. It’s like a real-life video game, minus the controller and comfy couch. 🎮 And let’s not forget the hilarious moment when Bum-seok gets called out for not moving on the count of three… I mean, who wouldn’t freeze up in a situation like that? 😂
But seriously, the production value is top-notch, with flawless action choreography, location dressing, and camerawork. The performances by Hwang Jung-min, Zo in-sung, and Hoyeon are amazing, and they really bring the emotional core of the movie to life. 💖 The lead-up to the big alien reveal is super suspenseful, with your imagination running wild trying to figure out what’s going on. And when the aliens finally show up, it’s like… WOW! 🤯 They’re like the Hulk, but faster and more agile… and with better facial features, courtesy of some fancy mocap performances. 🤖
The movie is like a masterclass in building tension and releasing it in the most epic way possible. The police car chase scene is insane, with a truck accident that will leave you on the edge of your seat. And the creature design? 🤯 It’s like a mix of Stranger Things and Prometheus, with a dash of Hollywood magic. 🎬 Full marks to filmmaker Na Hong-jin for not making the aliens just mindless rage machines, but actual beings with a motivation that makes sense. 🙏
