The most epic, life-changing, and awe-inspiring movie trailer has finally dropped, and I’m not even being sarcastic (okay, maybe a little) 🚀👽! The new pulp sci-fi film, Ray Gunn, from the genius mind of Brad Bird, is coming to select cinemas on December 4th and Netflix on December 18th, 2026. I mean, who needs personal relationships or a social life when you have a movie like this to look forward to? 🤪
In the ridiculously cool city of Metropia, private eye Raymond Gunn (played by the talented Sam Rockwell) gets entangled in a case involving aliens, murder, and a multimedia star named Venus Nova. Because, you know, your average, everyday murder mystery just isn’t enough; it needs aliens and a celebrity twist 🤷♂️! The film also stars an all-star cast, including Scarlett Johansson, Tom Waits, and Alan Tudyk, because why not? It’s not like they have better things to do than be in a movie that’s probably going to change the world 🌎.
The trailer, which you can watch above (unless you’re one of those people who doesn’t like awesome things, in which case, what’s wrong with you? 🤔), is a visual masterpiece that will leave you breathless and questioning every life choice you’ve ever made. I mean, who needs therapy when you have a movie trailer that can induce an existential crisis? 🤯 The animation is stunning, the action is intense, and the music is so cool that you’ll want to download the soundtrack and listen to it on repeat for the rest of eternity 🎵.
Ray Gunn is part of Netflix’s original slate of animated features, which includes other totally-not-as-good-as-Ray-Gunn movies like KPop Demon Hunters, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, and The Sea Beast. I mean, who needs a diverse range of movies when you have Ray Gunn, am I right? 🙄 It’s not like Netflix is trying to cater to different tastes or anything; they’re just going to shove Ray Gunn down our throats and expect us to be grateful 🙏.
In conclusion, if you haven’t watched the trailer for Ray Gunn yet, what are you even doing with your life? 🤷♀️ Get on YouTube, watch the trailer, and then spend the rest of your day contemplating the meaning of life and the genius of Brad Bird. And if you’re one of those people who doesn’t like science fiction or animation, well, I feel sorry for you 🙅♂️. You’re missing out on some of the most epic, life-changing, and awe-inspiring movies of our time 🎥.
Oh, and don’t forget to mark your calendars for December 4th and 18th, because Ray Gunn is coming, and it’s going to be a wild ride 🎠! 🚀👽💥
