Immediately following the show will be the Gears of War E-Day Direct, which will take a deep dive into the new prequel. I’m sure it’ll be a thrilling ride, full of explosions, shootouts, and… more explosions 🎮🔫.
According to Xbox Wire, the showcase will include first gameplay looks and huge news on upcoming titles from their first-party studios and third-party partners. Because, you know, we all love a good surprise, and what’s more surprising than a bunch of new games that we’ll probably forget about in a month 🤷♂️? The Gears of War: E-Day Direct will take players into the start of Emergence Day, offering new details, gameplay, and insights about the hugely anticipated origin story to the Gears of War saga. When Sharma started, she stated that there were three core commitments the company had to take to ensure future success: great games, the “return of Xbox,” and the “future of play.” I’m sure it’ll be a real challenge, but I have no doubt that they’ll succeed 🏆. The showcase will also feature some already announced first-party games, including Fable, Blade, and Clockwork Revolution.
