The FOO FIGHTERS are back with a blast of sonic fury that will blow your mind, or at least make you laugh at the absurdity of it all 🤣. Their new album “Your Favorite Toy” is out, and with it comes the official music video for “Of All People”, a 2:35-minute thrill ride that will leave you breathless and questioning the sanity of the band’s frontman, Dave Grohl 🤪. The video, directed by Alex Acy, features Swiss extreme skiers BPC (Buldoz Project Crew) doing what they do best: skiing on anything but snow 🏂🌴. We’re talking concrete, glass, and random off-snow terrain – these guys are crazy 😂!

But wait, it gets even better 🤔. The skiers, including Flaco, Blasco Paterno Castello, Mael Bovey, Jordy, and Andrea de Angelis, are pushing the limits of extreme skiing while the FOO FIGHTERS are pinning the db meters in the red 🚨. It’s like they’re trying to break the sound barrier, or at least the rules of sanity 🤪. Dave Grohl comments: “Just when I thought I’d seen it all, I discovered BPC and snowless skiing. It’s either the gnarliest extreme sport I’ve ever seen, the most fun anyone can have before a guaranteed trip to the hospital, or both 🤣.” We’re leaning towards the latter, Dave 🤷‍♂️.

Acy, the director, says he discovered BPC on YouTube a year ago and was blown away by their personalities and way of life 🤩. “It takes a certain charisma to take on such stupid and dangerous stunts with style 😎,” he says. We couldn’t agree more 🤣. The result is a music video that’s equal parts thrilling, hilarious, and impressive 🎥. “Your Favorite Toy” was co-produced by the FOO FIGHTERS and Oliver Roman, engineered by Roman, and mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent 🎧.

The album’s release coincided with the launch of the FOO FIGHTERS’ massive “Take Cover” world tour 🌍, because what’s a new album without a world tour, right? 🙄. The band played their first concert with new drummer Ilan Rubin on September 13, 2025, at the Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, California 🎸. Rubin, the former NINE INCH NAILS drummer, joined the FOO FIGHTERS earlier in 2025, replacing Josh Freese, who was fired from the group in May 2025 🚫.

At the concert, Grohl introduced Rubin from the stage, saying: “Everybody else has said it. I finally get the opportunity to say, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, will you please welcome…’ The most badass motherfucker, Ilan Rubin, is playing drums in the FOO FIGHTERS right now 🤟.” We’re not sure what’s more impressive, Rubin’s drumming skills or Grohl’s ability to come up with creative insults 😂.

Prior to the San Luis Obispo concert, the FOO FIGHTERS had been off the road since September 2024 🗓️. But with their new album and world tour, they’re back and better than ever 🎉. Or at least, that’s what they want you to think 😜. Rubin was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame with NINE INCH NAILS in 2020 🏆, and has played with Tom DeLonge’s band ANGELS & AIRWAVES, and Danny Elfman 🎸. He’s also recorded solo albums under the name THE NEW REGIME 🎶.

The FOO FIGHTERS are Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee, and Ilan Rubin 🤝. And if you’re still reading this, congratulations, you’ve made it through the most epic press release ever written 🎉. Now, go watch the music video for “Of All People” and try not to laugh at the absurdity of it all 🤣. 🎥👀💥🔥💥🎸🤟
