Phil Soussan Thrilled To Maybe Possibly Have Found New LAST IN LINE Singer

We’re shocked, SHOCKED, to learn that LAST IN LINE has finally found a new singer to replace the departed Andrew Freeman. We mean, it’s not like they’ve been searching for months or anything. According to Phil Soussan, the band’s bassist, they’ve got a “person of great interest” lined up and will start working together in September. Because, you know, September is the perfect time to start working on new music… said no one ever.

In a recent interview with Rock Daydream Nation, Soussan revealed that the band is stoked about the new singer, but he’s not allowed to spill the beans just yet. We’re on the edge of our seats, folks! Soussan did mention that the new singer is “somebody who’s got his own sphere of notoriety,” which is just a fancy way of saying they’re not a complete unknown. We’re guessing it’s probably some dude from a tribute band or something.

The Drama Continues

Meanwhile, Andrew Freeman is still out there, spouting off about how he was fired from the band via email and how he’s still owed a piece of the action. Dude, let it go! You’re not the first person to get tossed from a band, and you won’t be the last. Freeman claims he did most of the songwriting and branding for LAST IN LINE, which is probably true, but who’s counting? He also said that he’s “amazed” the band lasted as long as it did, given Vivian Campbell’s busy schedule with DEF LEPPARD. We’re amazed too, Andrew, amazed.

Freeman also had some choice words for his former bandmates, saying they didn’t treat him with respect and that they’re just trying to win over the audience with a new singer. Boo-hoo, Andrew, you’re not the victim here. You’re just a dude who got fired from a band. It happens.

LAST IN LINE’s Future

So, what’s next for LAST IN LINE? Well, they’ll probably release some new music with the new singer, and then they’ll tour, and then they’ll… wait, what was the question again? Oh right, their future. It’s hard to say, but we’re sure they’ll keep on trucking, playing their brand of heavy metal to crowds of enthusiastic fans. We just hope they don’t expect us to be too excited about it.
