The new campaign trailer for Modern Warfare 4 shows off Mikkelsen’s character, but don’t expect to learn too much about him. Activision’s being tight-lipped about the details, because, you know, spoilers. But let’s be real, we all know how this is going to play out. Captain Price will go rogue, Gaz and Ghost will have to hunt him down, and “The Archer” will be the big bad guy pulling the strings from behind the scenes. Yawn. Mikkelsen: The Actor Who Keeps On Giving

From Dr. Hannibal Lecter to Galen Erso, he’s proven himself to be a versatile actor who can bring depth and nuance to any character. And let’s not forget his iconic role as Cliff Unger in Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding. But hey, who needs nuance when you can just play a generic villain in a Call of Duty game? I’m sure he’ll bring his usual level of dedication and passion to the role, but let’s be real, this is a Call of Duty game. It’s not like it’s going to be a challenging or rewarding experience for him as an actor.
Call of Duty: Where Celebrity Cameos Go to Die
Call of Duty has a long history of featuring celebrity cameos, from Kit Harington to Idris Elba. And let’s not forget the time they managed to snag Ice Cube for a role.
